Therapia Sports & Spine (Physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Remedial Massage clinic in Adelaide)

I’m 55 years old with a 20-year history of severe daily headaches. After visiting GPs, specialists, and many tests/scans, I came to Therapia. Though I was sceptical at first, the simple exercises and overall great atmosphere of the clinic have had a major positive impact on my health and quality of life. Haven’t had a headache in a month. Mukul is a very capable professional who knows exactly what he’s doing, and what I needed. I couldn’t recommend him and Therapia enough.

I had severe bursitis in both shoulders from lifting heavy objects over my head at work, which resulted in pain and inflammation that radiated from my shoulders to my neck and arms. I was in pain 24/7 and did not have a single night of uninterrupted sleep. Furthermore, the range of motion in my arms was so restricted that my work and daily activities were severely limited. A course of corticosteroid injections, maximum doses of anti-inflammatories and 2 other physiotherapy clinics in Adelaide only offered temporary relief, but Mukul and Stefan have eradicated most of my pain and improved my quality of life. Mukul had personalised and targeted exercises for every stage of my recovery and we had very clear communication about my prognosis, progress, and readiness to step up treatment. I can now do most of my work and daily activities without issues, and I am extremely grateful to Therapia physiotherapy restoring my independence and confidence.

I was recommended the services of a Physiotherapist (Mukul) by my GP and he was excellent. He listened carefully to my symptoms and conducted his own tests and diagnosis before comparing it with the GP's and the radiologists notes and it was spot on!Mukul has prescribed a progression of exercises and treatments tailored to each ailment. First he treated me for a frozen shoulder which I am now able to manage myself, and most recently he's been treating me for my arthritic knee pain both knees. HIs manipulations and dry needling skills are excellent and from the outset he's worked in a holistic way to look at all aspects of the ailments and see how we can tackle the issues from multiple angles. He suggested and assisted me to source offloading knee braces to regain mobility and encouraged me to address other health concerns beyond physiotherapy for which I am very grateful.I highly recommend Mukul @ Therapia Sports and Spine as a physiotherapist and he is highly proactive and conscientious and both my Podiatrist and GP knew of him independently of me and both had excellent reviews as well. I have been receiving treatment and regular clinical pilates sessions with Mukul and the team at Therapia for nearly 3 years now. I have consistently felt cared for as an individual first and foremost, when assessing my needs, understanding any personal concerns, enabling me to evaluate my own progress and when to step up the activities to further support my physical and emotional wellbeing. I credit the fact that I have not required knee surgery to this highly professional and personal support. More than this I have seen the benefits of pilates in my overall flexibility and health as prior to this I had restricted the activities I would engage in due to previous spinal surgery. I recently went to my doctor suffering from pain in the hip, especially when trying to climb stairs, walk up a steep slope, or sit for more than half an hour driving my car. As a 76 year old, I do expect some lack of mobility, but not constant discomfort. My doctor referred me to a specialist who, after viewing my x-rays, informed me that I had Osteoarthritis of the hip. He also informed me that there was no real treatment apart from a hip replacement and offered pain killing injections until I was ready for the operation.I was not very enthusiastic about an operation and so I took the advice of my wife who recommended that I talk to her Physiotherapist, Mukul, at Therapia Sports & Spine. This turned out to be very good advice. Mukul gave me therapeutic treatment along with a progressive exercise program designed specifically to build muscle and tissue to strengthen my upper legs and hips. The results were very positive. I am now virtually pain free when carrying out normal day to day activities. I can now climb stairs and drive my car without discomfort. I would certainly recommend Therapia Sports and Spine to any person suffering similar discomfort due to Osteoarthritis.

What a waste of money experience…I have been told at the start that I would only need to be doing 3 treatments and it shall help!! Ended up doing 10!! (Was hoping it will get better with the next session but it did not).. very disappointing.

Mukul provides a personal and high quality physio service. I have been seeing Mukul (when needed) over the past 20 years and on each occasion he has provided effective treatment and ongoing exercises that have helped me return to 100% each time. I am so grateful to all the staff at Therapia Sports & Spine who have been extremely supportive in all areas. Physiotherapists, Stefan and Mukul, have had extremely effective therapy strategies & now polites exercises to ensure my continued progress of recovery & strengthening from the whiplash car injuries I sustained & a heavy fall onto my left shoulder having lost my balance during post concussion syndrome. I don't feel I would have had such successful movement progress if I had not received their excellent form of care and therapies.
