Coorong Wildside Tours

I've always wanted to see the Coorong and Wildside Tours gave me a view and insight I wouldn't have got otherwise. Glen is friendly, deeply knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. He sees things in the landscape I wouldn't have picked up on myself (from the smallest of migratory birds to the emus making their way up the sandhill). Glen also provided an understanding of the everchanging nature of the Coorong as part of a larger ecosystem.I would describe it as a really fun and interesting history and geography wildlife adventure (with a few crazy boat turns and tasty treats to boot).Highly recommended and hope to return myself.

This tour of the Coorong with Glen was the highlight of my trip to South Australia and I thoroughly recommend it. Glen is very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator and we got to see lots of wildlife, many different spots in the Coorong and understand its ecology and geology. The booking process was straightforward and Tracy was very helpful.

The best boat tour in the Coorong is run by Glen, who offers local knowledge of the area, and his wife, Tracey. Look no further - this tour is not to be missed. Glen’s boat is able to get close to the Coorong wildlife and his knowledge of the wildlife and ecology is second to none.

Glen and Tracey’s tour of the Coorong and the fish processing facility was incredible and so informative. The lunch we had was also so tasty and unique. Tracey’s cooking is delicious. I feel so fortunate that we were able to see and experience the Coorong with Glen, his knowledge of the seals, birds and ecosystem is unparalleled. Thanks again!

We used our River Revival SATourism vouchers today for the Coorong Wildside factory tour experience. Glen and Tracey provided us with great knowledge of the Coorong fish they catch, how they fish, process and deliver their fish to markets locally and in Adelaide. We were entertained by Glen with a fish filleting lesson, then Tracey had prepared a sumptuous sample of Coorong mullet in a variety of ways. We also had a taste of minced carp which also was delicious. An experience not to be missed!

Had a fantastic morning on the Seabirds and Seals Tour. Glen had a fantastic knowledge of the natural history and ecology of the Coorong from which I learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed. In the afternoon we attended the Seafood Factory Tour which was also thoroughly informative, particularly regarding what to look for and ask when buying seafood. A really worthwhile day spent.

Our family of four had a great behind the scenes tour at Coorong Wild Seafood hosted by Glen and Tracy. We loved the casual nature of the presentation which included Glen’s expert filleting techniques on locally caught mullet and carp. The subsequent tasting - the lightly dusted fried carp was a revelation and the smoked mullet to die for - was a brilliant end to our all-too-brief visit. Keen for a follow up visit or lengthier tour. Highly recommended.

As a very interested and avid explorer of the Coorong especially the Meninge area, I was very surprise by Glens wealth of knowledge and his fun delivery of information, myself and two friends ha d a great day learning laughing and seeing some spectacular sights on the water, then when back at there base of operations Glen and Tracey blew me away again ....in ever thought that I would eat carp let alone enjoy it, but they changed my mind now I'm itching to take friends and family there change there minds, and next time I'm there I'm buying some carp from them and will see what else I can do with it.so if your looking for a great day out with some great people I highlyrecommend Coorong Wildside Tours.

We booked the seals and seabirds tour and it was definitely worth it! We saw lots of different species, lots of seals on the barrages and also some kangaroos and emus. The owner, Glen, shared with us his experience about his life as a fisherman and his very strong care of the environment. Very informative about the landscape and all that is happening with the sand dunes, vegetation and formations. Plus, the boat ride was real fun! He also provided us a very local fresh lunch. Absolutely recommend it.

Absolutely incredible!! We didn't know what to expect but we were blown away!! Tracy & Glen have won awards for their produce, it has been featured on Masterchef, and is served in some of SA's best restaurants - and you can see why. The fish we sampled was *remarkable* and as fresh as you will get. Their care for the environment shines, and we learned how to fillet fish and avoid injuries.Tracy and Glen are down to earth, authentic, lovely people. Glen is the epitome of a fisherman and I'd be surprised if there's anything he doesn't know, plus he's especially worldwise. Tracy will make you feel very welcome, and her enthusiasm for seizing every opportunity and for building strong relationships throughout SA is inspiring.Overall: genuine, lovely people with strong ethics who really care about doing the best they can in terms of produce, service and the experience they provide for you. We would love to return and bring more people!Absolute gem of an experience. ♡
