Lovely camp spot. Clean drop toilet (as clean as a drop toilet can be). Play ground for the kids. Right by a lake for swimming and short drive to blue pool. Not too many camp spots so recommend getting there early!Recommend Mt. Moornapa wines also a short drive away for a unique wine tasting experience.

Had so much fun here! There was a park for children and the toilets were clean. The river isn’t too far from the campsites and there is so much to explore.$10 per night but so worth it, the kids had fun and so did we. Definitely coming here again.

My husband and I were camping there during the New Years period and recall a man getting his van beached in the creek requiring assistance to get out. This character was clearly inebriated and also ( as per the volunteers reply) was obnoxious and noisy during our stay. He did annoy us with his continued generator usage and we complained to the volunteers regarding this.Anyone reading these reviews please disregard the slur this person has put on the hard working volunteers at the quarry reserve. We too were approached by them just after setting up, but this was only to greet us and to ensure our understanding of the camp conditions. This couple cleaned toilets and supplied toilet paper during a busy period. We enjoyed our stay and will return. Thankyou volunteers!

This place was beautiful, peaceful, well maintained. The committee members were super friendly as well as dedicated to keeping this beautiful place nice for everyone. The swimming was magical the sounds of the wildlife also magical, it was a great place to heal and I cannot thank the committee members enough for keeping this place what it is.The price is more than reasonable and goes towards keeping the camp grounds nice for all, my children especially loved the playground, and I can’t wait to come back to this new home away from home.

As a volunteer committee member of the Quarry Reserve we are very pleased to see the positive reviews. We try our hardest to ensure a clean and friendly environment for all to camp in. We have made a number of improvements over the past few years which has made the Reserve a very popular place to camp for all age groups particularly families. However it is with dismay that we have been alerted to a negative review. Whilst everyone has their own opinion we find it necessary to provide background on this review. This gentleman was camping over the Christmas period and sites were at a premium. He ran a generator for extended periods even in his absence from the campsite and was noisy and disruptive when on site, including getting his 2WD stranded in the 4WD creek crossing, requiring assistance from another camper to get out. Following several complaints from other campers he was asked politely to restrict his generator use. The response was both abusive and derogatory to us as volunteers. As Committee members sometimes we are required to remind people of what acceptable camping behaviour is in this reserve as per the conditions of entry signposted at the entry road. This was the case here. The comment about telling people where to camp is an inaccuracy. Rather it would have been trying to make room for more campers when almost all sites were taken. Furthermore if regular cleaning of toilets and restocking toilet paper and picking up rubbish is to be considered “thinking they own the place” then so be it!We are proud of this Reserve and the work that we do, not only for campers but the local community. We will continue to do our work here because without our team of volunteers, camping at The Quarry Reserve would cease.

Always love camping here. Good facilities, toilets and rubbish bins are available. Take your own water and toilet paper, the water coming out of the taps is not drinkable and occasionally the toilet paper gets stolen. Swimming is good when the water is flowing. Peaceful
