Temple of Tastes Restaurant
My wife and I dined here earlier this month and we’re not impressed with the food at all. We decided to give it another try last night and we were pleasantly surprised by the marked improvement. Ryan, the Chef and his staff did a great job. The food was very tasty and presented nicely. The Special Wine List selection complimented the food and as always the Restaurant Staff were most obliging. Well done.

I escaped from Melbourne and it's top of 9 degrees with friends up to the warm embrace of tropical FNQ for a weekend away.A friend booked random restaurants for dinner on each night that looked good on Google Maps, he booked Temple of Tastes for our first night which is within a hotel/resort complex (that looks AMAZING).While not being something that I'd typically consider, it forced me to pick meals that I wouldn't usually consider (I'm a 'steak and chips' kinda guy).I chose the king fish carpaccio, duck breast and the deconstructed cheesecake which are all pictured. All three courses were absolutely fantastic, the restaurant has meals that take influence from South East Asian cuisine, the chef here is very talented in their trade as the meals are next level, the pairing of all the ingredients on the plate are fantastic. It would be nice to have a better beer selection, and in particular see some craft porters on the menu which would be perfect with the steaks on offer - however this is a common theme across WA/NT and QLD as local tastes seem to prefer summer ales and pale ales rather than dark beers like stouts and porters.Shout out to the front of house staff who get you seated quickly, know the menu like the back of their hand and are very friendly and engaging with the customers - we see you and notice your great work.If you're in the area and you're a fan of food with South East Asian influence, give Temple of Tastes a try.

Great service and great food! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend the steak, the whole dish was a flavour bomb in your mouth. The Korean BBQ shortib was a bit dry and lacked Asian flavours but overall we had a great dinner and the servers were great. We also enjoyed the soft shell crab starter. Thanks!

Quite literally the best meal we’ve had since moving to Australia 17 years ago.The duck was incredible - even better than Cafe Sydney and that place is amazing. The steak, the scallops, the service, the cocktails, the wine … all A1+I’m a local and can’t believe it’s taken me all this time to discover this !

The Temple of Tastes certainly lives up to its name. All the dishes were beautifully presented and the flavours used enhanced the taste, quality and whole experience of the evening. The outdoor setting was gorgeous and the insect song was delightful.

I can't fault this place, beautifully presented food, all the flavours complement each other. Not an extensive menu, but when food is this good, you dont need any extra. Great wine list, complementing the food choices. So much better than some of the other offerings in Palm cove. The staff are very attentive and helpful.

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience at the Temple of Taste ❤️The restaurant was technically closed, but the team made arrangements to seat myself and my fiance at a beautiful candle lit dinner. The food was outstanding, and the staff were extremely excellent and polite. I would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good food, poor service.1. A nice bottle of Rosé for two should be poured into matching wine glasses NOT poured into a Champagne glass for one person and a Prosecco glass for the other. Awkward.2. When the meal is finished REMOVE the used plates. Don’t just keep walking past them for 20 min. I was very close to returning them to the kitchen myself.3. When your customers ask for the dessert menu it’s a good sign that they might want to order dessert. We gave up waiting for our order to be taken and got an ice cream at reception instead. If you are going to cut costs by using back packers then at least give them SOME training or supervise them properly. It’s just not that hard to at least get the basics right.
