Coorong Cabins
Above and beyond experience with the most inspiring native garden that should be on gardening australia (if hasn’t been already). Probably the best set up and attention to detail with all the little bites, amenities and essentials you could ever need on a overnight stay. So comfy and well set up.We love nature so the bird life and access to chooks, Coorong, walks and lakes was amazing. Meningie pub was a step back in time with the best schnitzel and pepper sauce I’ve had in years. So fun!Mik is super helpful and you can tell he loves what he’s created from a basic block of land over the years. Inspirational!

We have been wanting to stay at Coorong Cabins for the last couple of years and finally earlier this month we had that stay and it was worth the wait! We had 4 nights in the Wren Cabin and had a fabulous time. The cabin itself was immaculately clean and very comfortable for a couple. It was great to have so many supplies provided in the kitchen and I know for next time I don’t have to take so much with us. In face if you have forgotten anything, chances are Mik has provided it in the cabin for you. The setting is so pretty and we loved watching the birds and exploring the native garden. It was lovely to get fresh eggs from the chickens and get vegies for our salad from the vegetable garden. We didn’t use the barbecue area this time but thought it would be great if you were staying with friends or family in the Pelican Cabin to have the shared communal space. The Games room got a good workout and I now know I really can’t play pool! The highlight for us was kayaking across the water and then trekking through the dunes to the ocean. Just us and some emu’s, perfect conditions on the water – it was truly awesome. The cabins are in a great location to explore the surrounding area & Mik is happy to pass on his local knowledge and tips for what to see and where to go. We were lucky to have one night by the fire chatting with Mik which we both thoroughly enjoyed.Mik – we stopped at Coonalpyn on our way home from our trip the following week and you were spot on about those waffles, they were soooo good!Till next time………….Lesley & Terry

What a beautiful place to stay and explore the Coorong. The Pelican Cabin was quiet, clean, spacious and set in amongst lovely native gardens. Kayaks and bikes were all provided. Our host thought of everything. We enjoyed eating fresh produce from the garden and eggs from the chickens. Lovely wood fire too. A great place to recharge.

Coorong cabins is a home away from home. Love it! Exceptionally clean, so much to do, walks, canoeing, fishing, tours and much much more. Waffles up the road in Coonalpyn are exceptional too. It was our 2nd time here and we will be back, Mik is a wonderful host, thanks so much.

LOVED this place! Clean, warm, welcoming, equipped with a welcoming loaf of bread, fresh ground coffee, fire burning and an invitation to help ourselves to the eggs laid by Mik's chickens as well as to anything in the veggie garden :-) Fantastic location as well. Coorong National Park is a gem of a place.

Coorong Cabins
Finally got to come back here, and this time we brought friends. The cabins still look brand-spanking-new and are immaculately clean and well-maintained. Not a smudge, cobweb, or mark to be found anywhere! (Trust me... I looked!!)In addition to quality, high-end finishes and stylish decor throughout, host Mik is incredibly generous with provisions. Beyond scrumptious bread, wine and chocolates on arrival, there are all sorts of goodies to make you feel right at home. And that's before you get to the dedicated games room, chef's garden and equipment available to explore your surrounds. The accommodation is just as perfect for a family as it is a couple. There's lots of space, privacy and activities for people of all ages, from sipping wine as you chill in a hammock, to biking or kayaking through nature. It was such a pleasure to return.. the only downside being it was not for longer!
