The Book Bucket - Redcliffe

Large selection of many different books . A great idea.Buy then bring back redeeming some money outlay.

The Book Bucket don’t support local authors which is a shame. It was in 2022 that I approached them and left copies of my books for them to consider promoting or putting up for sale. When I returned for follow up I was simply handed the books back with the comment “we’re not interested”. Not sure that independent book stores are really independent!

We have been to the funky cafe next door... Boneyard Coffee, and I'd seen The Book Bucket, but never been inside. (Gotta say, they have an excellent window display). Then I was given 3 great books on my birthday, and they came from here.I had some big hardcover books which I had no further use for ( perfect condition) and The Book Bucket gave me store credit for these. I quickly converted this and bought 4 wonderful books on unique topics. It cost me less than 2 x coffees.The shop is large. The service is helpful and friendly. The store is jam packed with well categorised book sections.There were about 7 or 8 other people in the store while I was there, which says that it's just what people on The Redcliffe Peninsula want.Remember, the coffee next door is seriously good, too.

First time visiting The Book Bucket in Redcliffe today. Wow, they have quite a collection of books of all genres. Well priced with the option to trade in or exchange books. Well set out store makes browsing easy and convenient. If you're still old school and read actual books, well worth a visit.

Great place to explore for books ! A real treasure of a book store ?What ever you do don’t park in the John Beal realestate parks next to the store because he will bully you to move even when all the spaces aren’t being used ! Beware of where you park unfortunately!

Such a great place. So glad it's part of our community. It not only has an amazing range of books but cds, videos and puzzles. Great trading system too.

Disappointed. Last time I went in (about a month and a half ago.) and I got told by a lovely lady that I could bring books in and swap mine with ones in there. Went in today and was served by a rude man who had an attitude telling me it’s only a store credit and “they don’t do that”. I was bringing in a good condition book series. I’m not going to swap them all in for a couple of shabby books. Won’t be going there again.

i visit the book bucket quite often and always have the best experience, the lady’s who are there usually are the sweetest people ever and are so helpful. i visited today with two friends in the hopes of doing a book swap. the man who served us was without a doubt the rudest person i’ve ever meet, which is saying something considering i work in fast food. he had a terrible attitude, he greeted us with a rude stare/ smirk as we walked in and was even ruder as we walked out. to say i’m appalled is an understatement. i hope he reconsiders how he treats customers in the future and that the owner of the book bucket notifys him of this.
