Shingley Beach Resort

Terrible place to stay. Room was unclean. No mirrors on the main floor. Too many steps. Restaurant closed for breakfast. Far to few T.V. channels. Beds were too hard, slept on the couch. Booked from overseas. Huge disappointment for our first visit to Australia.

Super comfortable room, with everything including a large TV and couch, and very clean! Great view even from the second floor, comfy bed and fantastic pool. Large shower with actual hot water. Again, I am impressed with how clean not only our room was, but the whole resort. It is super clean and well looked after for its age. We have stayed in many places in Airlie, and we will book again here. Thank you!

Everything you need in one little apartment. Great location and so walkable to the middle of everything. A little cafe at ground level so you don't need to go too far for a coffee and a snack. Parking was undercover. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool and the grounds were kept tidy.My only gripes were being it was an older building, you would constantly hear the pipes, day and night when a toilet was flushed. The aircon was loud and tired and our dryer took hours to do anything. The cleanliness was average. The security code coming into the room is a cool concept, except we found the last 2 guests that stayed left their pamphlet in the room with the same pin to get in. You would have to happily assume those people have no intention on coming back and using the same key .....

Tap water speed- Too slow water everywhere including shower. Water should be in same constant flow while having shower.Sticky my floors- Floors were sticky wherever we walk, we couldn't walk without slippers.Housekeeping- I think at least they need to change towels everyday. Need to put more floor mats so no one slip over.Gas stove & crockery- Very good gas stove but need to have more big bowls.Microwave- Microwave very high on top people with low height it's hard for them to reach. Sometimes in microwave food gets stuck or gets burnt. Need to have paper towels.No access to powerpoint very hard to charge phones in room. Otherwise very good view of beach from balcony.

Arriving late, call the number given and asking for info about car parking. The gentleman in question thought the call ended , when he replied by saying these f””ing late arrivals . Great welcome hey. Room had dead bugs at balcony doors . Ants in kitchen and on couch’s. Empty cigarette in ashtray on balcony not nice . We are non smokers. Best off was the view.

Awesome Location! Amazing Views! Appartments have everything you need while your away from home! 3 bedroom apartment Was great for our group holiday. Felt at home and very comfortable!The cockatoos visited us everyday on the balcony for a snack- but don’t worry if you don’t like birds as they have very good manners!

Not the best place I’ve stayed, but certainly not the worst.Good- Nice swimming pools, nice view, convenient location.Bad- Room was very dated, bathroom needs a bit of a Reno, shower sprayed everywhere but on you. Steep bath to step over and wet floor is dangerous.Apartment wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Dusty fans and dead flies in the windows. Quite a musty smell on arrival.Aircon didn’t work properly in the living area. No lift to upper floors.We stayed in room 25, apparently some rooms are nicer than others and it’s the luck of the draw.Not a bad stay overall, just a bit overpriced for what we got.

So bad!!, my room was falling apart, the roof almost collapsed one night, heaps of water damage. Very aged. Doors and aircon didnt work, tv only had to channels. Cafe out the front gave us not gluten free food when my sone if extremely allergic we had to take him straight to hospital. The pool was pretty bad. Had the bathroom didnt have a working shower and the shower door almost fell off. Pretty bad overall experience

Best experience. Nice view from the balcony, very clean rooms and beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, close to all amenities and friendly staff of course.We really enjoyed our 3 day stay, thank you. Recommended for families with kids.
