Just finished my second workshop with Pip at Clay and Humans. The first was a hand building vessel workshop. Our workshop consisted of people at different levels from absolute beginners to those with various levels of confidence with clay. My father was a ceramisist and I am a veteran art teacher in a primary school and have done quite a bit of hand building with kids over the years, so i took the class just for fun, but Pip introduced me to a shaping technique I didn't know! Pip was capable of adapting her instruction and encouragement to meet the needs of the participants.The second workshop was a shorter glazing workshop which was an option to take following your hand building one. However Pip will glaze and fire your piece if you don't fancy taking the second class. Pip is very knowledgeable and shares her deep knowledge clay techniques and processes.I have been inspired to grab some clay and do a little more clay work in my own studio not just in my school art classes.
