bought 2 kits (crochet, paper flower making). crochet was meant to be for beginners/kids. was not beginner friendly. skipped over terminology, skipped steps, failed to describe certain stitches or movements. paper flower making was advertised to 'include everything' needed to complete the activity. it didnt. it failed to mention that you need a hot glue gun.

AVOID IF IT SAYS HINKLER ON THE BOX AVOID,... WHEN CONTACTED ABOUT MISSING PIECES THEY DONT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT.. BUT ARE QUITE HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.. OPENED A BOX AND FINISHED THE PUZZLE IN STORE WHICH WAS MISSING THE LAST PIECE... CONFRONTED THE STORE FOR A REPLACEMENT PIECE,. AND THEY SAID CANT HELP YOU SORRY"KNOWINGLY SELLING FAULTY PRODUCTS. AVOID TAKE UR MONEY ELSE WHERE."

We had a minor problem with a Hinkler puzzle so I emailed the company to let them know. They sent me a replacement product straight away with a lovely note. Great service, thank you!

I have been fortunate to be a customer of Hinkler Books for over 10 years. My family have been entertained and educated with a vast variety of books and puzzles on offer. Great company to deal with.

I was given a puzzle (Take me to the USA) for Christmas and have been very disappointed because it has a lot of pieces missing, part of the border most of the monuments and several of the other pieces. The puzzle was new in the box and sealed in the plastic bag. This makes me rethink about using your products in the future.

Bought my daughter the Incredible Earth" science kit thinking it would be really cool.....nope

Hinkler Books are a caring, compassionate organisation. In May when the Flemington Towers went into an immediate and hard lockdown. They reached out to Melbourne City Mission and donated a whole palette of books, arts and crafts, and puzzles to bring joy to the children.This month, I reached out to them and asked for similar assistance for the young people staying at our Frontyard Youth Services and in hotels that we are supporting throughout the city. Instantly they said yes.We have no commercial or other relationship with Hinkler Books, they are simply a wonderful and generous organisation that brings joy to children everywhere with everything that they do.

Why I never… saddest kit I ever did see. False advertising, as it didn’t come with the moulds showed on the box.

My daughter received a Hinkler puzzle for Christmas from a friend. My daughter spent a long time trying to complete it, until the end, where she found 3 pieces were missing and 4 pieces that fit nowhere. I contacted Hinkler to get the pieces or a replacement puzzle, explaining it was a gift from a friend and sent a photo showing the issue. Hinkler responded saying with their legal policies and said I had to go to where it was purchased. I explained is was not possible due to the gift being from a friend. Hinkler ignored my email and never responded (it's now over two weeks since I sent the email). Based on the missing and incorrect pieces and very poor customer service, I would stay completely away from Hinkler Puzzles.
