The University of Queensland Gatton Campus
Unlike The St Lucia campus of UQ which is a serene and immaculate environment. The Gatton campus is like a fairyland. To reach this campus, all UQ students in St Lucia must take advantage of the free intercampus bus service. Once you arrive, you'll be greeted by the campus's stunning beauty and expansive grounds. In contrast to the bustling and busy atmosphere of St Lucia, this campus offers a tranquil and leisurely experience. The campus is meticulously maintained, with well-manicured lawns, picturesque walkways, and architectural marvels that blend harmoniously with the surrounding natural landscape. As you explore the campus, you'll notice that everything here moves at a slower pace, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. It's an ideal setting for studying, contemplating, or simply enjoying a moment of tranquility amidst the busyness of university life.

I've always loved this campus for its natural beauty, use of space, & attention to history & architecture. As a college kid" I was welcomed by an eclectic mix of staff & students from diverse specialisations & cultural backgrounds. It was an idyllic playground for those of us whose family &/or friends worked or studied there & was a multicultural gem during the 1980/90's when the area struggled with it's dual nature - part agricultural/part academic. I've watched much change over 43 years

Great University for learning agriculture study. Just a bit too far from Brisbane but can catch uni bus from main campus at St. Lucia.

Lake Galletly and surrounding areas is great for bird watching! So many different waterbirds. Great bird hides and tracks for walking. Easy to get to. Well maintained. We will definitely be going back.

Veterinary School Small Animal HospitalThe staff were fantastic when I took my dog there recently, from reception, to the trainee vets and especially the specialist surgeon Jayne, who patiently explained the possibilities re the diagnosis....twice....first to me & then to my husband.I would highly recommend them to anyone with a small animal who needs specialist help.Prices are reasonable and they have a finance option if needed.

What a wonderful 125th birthday celebration at UQ Gatton Campus or QAC Gatton as I have always known it. I took the coach tour of the entire facility with the most knowledgeable guide and it rekindled memories of my time there in the mid 1960's.I was only 16 when I first attended... first time away from home in Brisbane. As the only boy who admitted he could play the piano, I became the Official Organist for the Sunday Church Service and because I was self taught, I played with great gusto and the visiting clergy always said after that they had never heard a bunch of boys sing with such enthusiasm! My first week of Prac involved starting the afternoon shift at the college abattoir... facing a mammoth pile of heads and offal to be loaded into a large farm trailer for the pigs!!! Tough stuff for a city boy but I survived it all and look back on my time there with great memories. The Long Table Lunch over three hours with nearly three hundred attendees was fabulous... met some great people and I'm so glad I attended. Top Mark's to the organizers.

Went to UQ Gatton campus today, previously called Queensland Agriculture College, to take some photos to send to my father in law in Perth, who used to study there and is now most 90yrs old. We asked the security personnel about the campus, and he was so obliging to answer all out questions, and was so knowledgeable. Thank you Mr Security (pity we didn't get his name) making our day so memorable. Very grateful.

One of our cats (We have 4) has been hiding and not eating/drinking and has lost a lot of weight. Took 2 days to catch her. She got sick enough to not run and hide, we quickly grabbed her and took her to UQ Gatton Vet School at Gatton. We had phoned so they knew we were coming. We were taken to a consulting room and a nice nurse did obs on her and went to get the Vet. They took her away for blood test etc, put her on a drip. The staff were very professional, courteous and sincere. After the test results came back I was informed of my choices and I ended up bringing home our cat with a lot of meds. She is currently at my feet demanding attention. Much better than yesterday. It took 5 hours from arrival to leaving and my phone died after 4 hours. I arrived just after 4.00pm and left just after 9.00pm.They could use a phone charging kiosk/area in the waiting area. My wife was very worried and there is no phone for clients to use at that hour.I bought a car charger from a service station and called my wife and informed her of the results and what was needed for when we got home.
