I just got my hair braided in this salon last week. I don’t know what the others talking about, but my experience was very different. Yes sometimes hair braiding depends on your hair texture and the length of your hair, one can pay less than another based on your hair volume.I paid more because I have very thick and full hair. I don’t mind of that, I love my results.

Incredible unprofessional. I was truly shocked. I would not recommend unless you are honestly desperate.For my more kinky, textured 4a+ haired sisters, please avoid. No care is taken into your locks or nourishing it. This place doesn’t care about maintaining long term customer relationships. Prices are made up on the spot and change constantly depending on ur texture and length. No technique for basic things like brushing to ensure less breakage. Tools, towels, brushes are not cleaned and same ones are used immediately for the next person. It’s very hard to discern whether they can actually do your hairstyles that you want, even with the picture because so often it looks nothing like it at the end. Music blasting at an obscene volume all day. The interior is unpleasant and chairs are uncomfortable.I observed 3 people durning my appointment come back and actual complain about their braids / extensions, and the quality. Also they accept walkins if it isn’t busy even if someone has booked that time. Also observed a client complaining about her relaxer burning as the stylist were just talking to one another, her pleas went ignored 3 times. Very slow at braiding as well. What would typically be a 4 hour hairstyle would take 6/7 hours. The employees would also take their lunch break together all at the same time instead of staggering their breaks, which would leave the clients waiting around uncomfortably for a long time. I had my friend who spoke their language and she heard the owner throw insults and unprofessional language when someone came to inquire about a service or hair extensions.They also don’t take card payments also sometimes. i tried paying with card but they said no. I witnessed earlier a lady paying by card? Also if you are unfamiliar about braiding or have loose textured hair (straight) be aware. I witnessed someone getting 4 big cornrows for 100$. FOUR.I’m sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous. I have been to many salons overseas and in the U.S and i have never seen such poor practice. If only Australia had regulations.It is so hard enough to even find a black salon in Australia and with such a niche this is a perfect opportunity to create a salon that is the go to spot, that is professional, inviting and safe for black hair. It is clear that this business is all about profit. I really wish I can find an affordable salon that creates an enriching experience and is knowledgeable of different hair types and seeks to nurture our strands! Please if you know of one let me know!

I went there and one of the hair dersers said oh u have to much dirt in your and i got so offened. Then later when i was about to the whole crew said dont come back next timewith dirty hair or we wont do your hair next time there so bad epople dontgo here plzs and plus i washed my hair

First found Roha on Google and thought I'd give it a go as my previous hairdresser shut shop. Best decision ever. Elene and her staff are very friendly and accommodating ladies. They are both very skilled ( i usually get braiding and cornrows done) but have seen other satisfied and regular customers of all genders and ages visit Roha. Their work is very neat and professional. Prices are fair. Walk ins are fine but on busy days such as weekends, best to make an appointment. Would highly recommend Roha in footscray.

I had hair hydrating treatment and braided my hair yesterday. The ladies were very knowledgeable and helpful. I was struggling with hair shading and dry scalp. The owner was very pleasant and helpful with her advice. My scalp feels a lot better and my hair looks beautiful. I will be coming back very soon

Beautiful cornrows!!!!I had my first and best cornrows experience today. LOVE every single bit!Very friendly & professional hairdresser (I assume she is the owner) who is caring and obviously great at what she is doing. Very affordable too!She also explained how to maintain my cornrows.Will definitely be back!
