Incredibly personalised service, attention to detail was clear. The service and food were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for an intimate date night with my wife. All pasta is home made and fresh, and the meals delicious. We will certainly be returning again to work out way through the menu (and wine list!)

I recently returned from dining at this restaurant tonight (3/6/23) with some friends, and it was the worst experience we've ever had. The service was incredibly poor, and the staff exhibited rude behaviour throughout our visit. To make matters worse, when a few of us ordered the fish, it arrived with a very strong odor. Despite bringing this to the staff's attention, they took it away without offering an apology. As an alternative, I requested the risotto, only to be told that they had run out. This series of disappointments significantly affected our appetite, leaving both of us hungry.When we reached the point of settling the bill, we were initially charged for another table's order. Although the mistake was eventually rectified, our actual bill still included charges for the two fish dishes we didn't consume. We pointed out this error, explaining that we hadn't eaten the fish, but the owner/staff responded rudely and dismissively. They insisted on keeping the charges, showing no concern or offering any apology to us as customers. This complete lack of care and disregard for their patrons was truly disheartening.Given this experience, we have no intention of ever returning to this restaurant, nor would we recommend it to others. The poor service and appalling attitude we encountered are simply unacceptable.

We had a lovely dinner in this cosy venue. Delicious meatballs and antipasto platter to start with and tasty pizza and authentic pasta for mains. Thanks Jeff and staff for the top notch service and a great night, we'll be back to try the gnocci and the wild boar pasta!

This restaurant has been one of the most incredible dining experiences that both myself and my partner have ever had. The food was delicious, and the customer service exceeded our expectations. I knew that I wanted a risotto, but I wasn’t quite sure what sort of risotto I wanted. The chef came out and spoke to me, and together we decided on the perfect dish. The atmosphere was lovely and the music very much a vibe (Moby is a vibe). Do yourself a favour and enjoy this experience with your loved ones. Don’t worry about splitting the bill, spoil those you care about. This is hospitality as an art form and can’t wait to come back.

Mother Dough is a Hawthorn staple for pizza but it also has excellent pasta options too.Came here with a group of 5, the staff were all excellent, helpful, happy to make changes to the menu where we asked and very friendly.We had some starter which were good to chase the had pasta for mains, which was all very tasty and hand made pasta is a nice touch. We shared some pizza which was tasty, well cooked and sliced for 5 to share (showing they care).Well worth a meal here, best to book as it can get busy.

Amazing food, down to earth, rustic local and our new favorite!We had a family dinner and decided to try this local for the first time - everyone raved about the food and the service was great!Antipasto platter, pizza, pasta, ragu and the seafood clay pot - everything was amazing!Given the high quality of the food and authentic recipes, the prices are reasonable.Loved it and we plan to go back so we can eat our way through the menu!

Such a hidden gem in Hawthorn. The best (not “one of the best”) pizza in the area. Would definitely try again. Nice size, decent proce, good vibes, very quick takeaway, AMAZING taste.
