A wonderful historic home and museum. Well presented and set out. So many items to see, took us over 90 minutes to view all the buildings and items. Excellent value and a must for history lovers.

This is a great value little museum. A slightly eclectic mix, but pretty good descriptions in a few places. Definitely worth a visit when in Kingscote.

This is the best little museum. Very worthy of your time to visit. For a small place like Kangaroo Island it is an absolute credit to the band of volunteers who so lovingly give of their time.

A lot of history can be gleaned from the various displays, or by talking with the on-site volunteer. The home provides a fabulous insight as to how we lived in the late 1800's, the old farming equipment display includes early farmers machines I've not seen before, the lighthouse provides great views across the bay and the old cottage garden is wonderful for smelling the roses and has many old specimens.

If you visit Kingscote certainly worth a look. A modest admission fee to help with upkeep. Managed by volunteers.

I am really glad I took the time to visit. A lot of thought and care has gone into this place. It's very interesting. Well worth a look. $10 very well spent. Don't miss climbing the light house and seeing the amazing Fresnel lens... Very cool!
