Australia Post - Townsville Post Shop

Avoid using Australia Post if you can find ANY other option. My item wasn't delivered to me at Breakwater Marina and the postie didn't leave it at the marina office. The sender gave me the tracking number and I found that the item had been sitting in the AP shop all day. They couldn't find the item using tha AP tracking number. Staff there wouldn't give me the item because it was addressed to my vessel, not my name. Eventually I was begrudgingly given my item. AP delays and lack of client service cost me an extra day in the marina, both a waste of my money and worse, waste of a days favourable winds. Maybe AP deserves much better management and some efforts to introduce a little bit of a client focus, but for now I will avoid AP whenever I can.

Townsville city Australia post has the most disgusting customer service i have ever experienced. As i approached the counter to lodge a parcel I said to the staff member how are you today and the staff member just looked me down, so I said again how are you? I got the same cold look. I then proceeded to say this wouldn't fit in the drop box can i lodge it here the staff member just continued to look me down and never said a word to me. When i was leaving i here one staff member yelling at another across the showroom floor. I believe farm animals have more common courtesy then the staff that work in this Australia post Townsville city. I think the staff need some type of re training in customer service. Anyway I am happy to spend my money elsewhere. (now using a local courier) Also i have told everybody about my experience and a majority of people I have told also have had a similar experience here at Australia post townsville city. It's though times Australia post Townsville City and we all have choices now so please do something about your customer service or you will no longer have customers or a business.

I adore the Townsville City team! They are always friendly, they always have a smile. They provide excellent customer service and make me feel like I am valued as a customer. Thats important in today's distant, detached world.

I went in to organise a post box change, due to the closure in Castletown. There were huge lines (nearly out the door) and lots of waiting almost 30 mins for me) — but why the 5 stars?Because the employees who were working did so flat out. They were polite, helpful and as fast as they could be with that many people coming in at once. A special shout out to Julie who, with a great deal of professionalism, dealt with my annoying forgetfulness and the low key sarcastic angst of those who were frustrated waiting.Rough gig, but good people doing a great job.

I really dislike having to deal with the Townsville city branch (Sturt Street branch) of Australia Post. Every time someone sends me a parcel that needs a signature I get the run-around. The parcel gets delivered when I am at work. So they take it back to the post office.Is this a post office that is open outside normal office hours? Of course not! Is this a post office that has ample parking near-by? Of course not! So any parcel collection becomes a major operation, not least because it's a 20 minute drive for me from work to the Sturt Street Post Office - and that's assuming I can actually find a parking spot (for which I have to pay - curse you Townsville City Council).I am particularly peeved as, for several months, up until my most recent parcel was not-delivered, Aust Post was doing no-contract COVID deliveries. Why couldn't they stick with that?There is a simple solution to the delivery problem if they insist on signatures - instead of returning undelivered parcels to the Sturt Street post office, TAKE THEM TO THE CASTLETOWN POST OFFICE! There is parking at the Castletown Shopping Centre. The Castletown Post Office is open on Saturday mornings.

This is the most friendly, caring Oz post I've ever been to. Years of having a business around the corner I kept it as my local PO BOX given the years of friendly smiles and great service.Recently I had Alyssa go out of her way to help me recieve a parcel before I went overseas. Thank you so much.

Never answer phones and when they do they hang up.wouldn’t reccomend.Why closed Saturday Sunday either like if you’d couldn’t be any more hopeless

Earning one star is easy.You only have to deliver an attempted delivery ticket without even having the item on board to deliver. Then you send the receiver out of their way to get it which only confirms the total lack of any work ethic or professionalism. Well you've earned it today..One star. You know where you can put your one star don't you Aussie Post.When we pay you to deliver a parcel and we have to come get it due to your FAKERY beware..Things may not work out for you either...I will NEVER go out of my way for AUSTRALIA POST AGAIN.I never use them for anything I have to send. Big Boss of AusPost deserves to get a pay cut.. 95% less than he earns now would be realistic.

How can a business not be open on the weekend. I paid for 1 day delivery and yet instead of bringing the package onto my building front desk they drop it off at Townsville post office and they don't open again till Monday. It's not MY fault you don't open for two days I just want to pick up my damn package.

We received the best customer service by Marie from the Townsville Post Office. She help us with my husband's passport application and nothing was too much for her. Never experienced anything like this with Australia Post before.
