Wells Clothing & Crafts

Excellent range of women’s casual fashion, wool and crafts, and hunting and farm style supplies at Wells Department store. Great service, brands and product offering including ladies footwear, hosiery and socks, handbags and accessories and usual clothing items (jeans, tops etc). Craft section is like a specialized Spotlight for quilting, knitting and crochet and has a brilliant range of value-for-money buttons - gorgeous! The hunting and outdoor section carries clothing including Swandarrini, Thomas Cook, Hunters Element and more for men and women, plus guns and ammo. You can walk between the different departments aka stores from within the shop, very convenient.

Whilst the selection of women's clothing were rather original and lovely brands and merchandising - a shame that helpful service didn't match when shopping. I've been in numerous times during my stay in the area, and spent $400 .... not once were any help or service offered. Sizes were never offered and all round, just a disappointing experience at a quite lovely store. Asking for a larger size, I felt like I had not only inconvenienced them but I felt like I weren't someone they wanted shopping in their store. I'm only a size 16, but like my wool jumpers to be roomy - not a huge request I didn't think.

Nice shop, the craft section is limited due to combined men’s wear and women’s clothing sections on either side.
