Repair cost was cheaper than the quote. Repair was done in a timely manner. Any mess was cleaned up and my bathroom smelt wonderful from the candles they left as a gift.

Tom and his colleagues are very impressive. I have experienced excellent service from them in every aspect from contact, communication, the quality of their work and great positive attitude. To me this collectively equals good value. As a customer I feel reassured and in my experience, confident. I cannot fault them. Well done Tom and Braydon.

Like most people, trades people have some mixed reviews in regard to their workmanship and reliability. However, Tom from Historic Plumbing was the most amazing person to work with and to have in our home during our bathroom and laundry renovations. Never did it feel like you had a 'tradie' in your home. Tom and his apprentice Justin were polite and respectful and couldn't do enough to ensure the finished job was to the highest standard. They went above and beyond as things popped up that needed further repairs, like they always do in an old house. The conversations we could hear between Tom and Justin showed that Tom took his role as a mentor and trainer to Justin seriously with Tom patiently explaining 'plumbing issues' so that Justin had a sound understanding of what the problem was and how to fix it. We highly recommend Tom, not only for his workmanship and the professional way in which he conducted himself in our home and throughout the renovations, but also for the way in which he treated Justin and how he is guiding him to become an exemplary trades person himself. We couldn't be happier with the experience and the result.

I have used several plumbers to fix some leak and blocked pipes in our old 1970’s rental house - most plumbers charged a lot and the problem never went away. Some did not want to deal with old clay pipes.I tried Historic Plumbing as they deal with old houses and earthenware pipes - Tom unblocked and fixed the problem thoroughly - we haven’t had any issues with the pipes in that house so far (10 months ago).Now they have replaced a toilet suite in our new house. Again, Anthony did a proper job - he was careful & thorough, fixed issues with the pipe connection, and did not mind explaining whatever I asked about the new toilet suite.I would recommend this company especially if you have some plumbing issues that can’t be fixed - Tom will give you an honest answer whether they can tackle it or not. Their price is fair and not exorbitant, and so far they have done a very good job with all of our plumbing needs.
