Waterfall Creek Reserve Camping Ground

Lovely place to go for a swim. Many jump off the rocks from various heights. Nice drive to get there. Accessible via a normal car in most conditions.

Awesome shady campsite with four huge sites available. Creek running alongside at foot of mountain. Sadly, not all people adhere to the rules and unpaid campers were set up where they pleased, dogs unleashed and the use of chainsaws. I would give 5 stars if a ranger made the occasional appearance to keep miscreants in check.

The area doesn't look so barren, dry and burnt out, as when we last visited, some months ago! The creeks, falls aren't running at the moment though with impending rain, in the next couple of days....Sat/Sun25/26 july20, we hope we hear that gurgling bubbling sound again!The birds were very happy to see us again!

This is a beautiful place with shady campsites near a pristine creek with a rocky waterfall and swimming areas. Unfortunately the locals know about this place and don’t treat it with respect. Nor do they respect the needs of nature loving campers who come for peace and quiet. On my visit it was quiet during the week but as soon as Friday came the bogans turned up and played ridiculously loud music all night. I had local farmers parking in the creek - ‘Oh we just parked there’ as if it’s normal. Bogans playing deafening music in the rocky waterfall area so no one else can enjoy swimming.Most of the surrounding country has been destroyed by farming practices so places like these are special and should be enjoyed in a way that is compatible with everyone.

The campground looked fabulous for self-sufficient campers. It had lots of shade. No facilities at this campground. When I visited there was very little water flowing in the creek and the waterfall was barely a trickle. The water looked rather stagnant too.

Visited here over Easter and found it to be a nice spot. Very dry at time of visiting so there was no water flowing through the creek. Only four campsites to choose from and have to be booked through Scenic Rim regional council customer service on (07) 5540 5111. There are fire pits for each camp, a day use area but no toilets or bins. Road continues on from here to a staging point for walking to the Upper Portals

It's ok, when the creak is flowing it's quite nice offering some water holes to cool off in.No amenities.

Great little campground. You need to be self sufficient here and bring anything. A bonus is dogs are allowed to stay. The gorge was amazing and the kids loved to explore it. I would love to see it with more water flowing. The 4wd track to the Upper Portals walk was a lot of fun and quite easy. High clearance 4wd was beneficial in parts.

Very nice secluded camp ground with no facilities. Short gorge walk is interesting and good views from the top of the 4WD track. Very scenic area.

Beautiful creek to refreshing yourself ! Lucky us the waterfall was not dry and not busy at all ! You just have to follow the running water and you can access to this amazing spot !
