Australasian Timber Flooring Association (ATFA)

Their resources and advice is very valuable. If anyone is in the timber flooring industry, they are really missing out if they are not members.On the rare occasion that I have witnessed their inspections, they almost always get it right.

I have found atfa to be very helpful, during covid they have added us on how to work in a safe site and protect us and our clients, providing correct documentation for builders and job sites such as jas forms and contract agreements - along with helpful articles on the flooring industry about what’s new and tips on problems and issues to help solve and prevent them - very happy to be a member

ATFA is a professionally run and well organised industry organisation. It provides a large range of useful benefits to it's members as well as valuable services to home owners looking to engage a professional contractor.

If you are unhappy with the dodgy timber floor you have just paid thousands for dont bother contacting these people. they are in bed with the timber flooring retailers and dont give a dam about you. Write it off as a bad decision and get tiles next time

ATFA provided us with the professional advise we needed with an issue with a timber floor that one of customers was experiencing. After visiting the site they were able to determine that there was moisture entering the timber from under the floor and the best way to fix the problem.I would recommend anyone that has a problem with a timber floor or is just looking for some information on timber flooring to use ATFA's services.Abbey Timber

In 2019 we completed a 10 townhouse development in Toowong Queensland.Since completion, we have had relentless issues with the stairs and nosings in each of the homes.Our supplier, reluctant to find fault with their products, subsequently engaged the services ATFA in October 2021 to complete an investigation to determine the cause of the failing function and finish of the treads and nosings.The investigator found that the fault was caused by the inabaility of the product to be bonded to any surface.He was then involved in a teleconference between us as the builder and the supplier and articulately and methodically outlined his research, the method of his investigation and his final decision.It was an unbiased and factual 'mediation' that provided all parties with clear information on why the product had failed.

An asset to the flooring industry. Everyone involved in the timber flooring business should be a pert of this great organisation
