I live in the Sunshine Coast and am an ‘average’ homebuyer. I didn’t “need” a Buyers Agent per se, but I knew from a previous experience in Sydney that having the right Buyer’s Agent on your side is invaluable, and Mark and Michaela proved that on Day One.My intention had been to hire a Buyers Agent to help me access the (approximate) 60% of homes that are never even listed, or are listed but are already under Contract. Through her many years building the business of another local buyer’s agent, Michaela has built great relationships with almost every real estate agent in the area and she has a fantastic reputation (it was actually a real estate agent who recommended her in the first place).In my case however, the very first house I saw was “the one”, but it was outside of my budget. I don’t know how they did it, but 2 days later, Mark had negotiated the price to under the asking price and the vendors had accepted it. I am stillpinching myself that this has become real. They earned their entire fee in that negotiation alone. But it didn’t end there.Because this husband and wife duo have been doing this for so long, and they are so fantastic to work with, they have a lot of connections who are only too happy to help them with very little notice. This meant that my Building & Pest inspection was done 4 days later, and when it came time to speak with the vendors about having repairs done, Mark was the one having those conversations and overseeing the work. The outcome was so far beyond my expectation. Mark knew when to push and when to back off.Finally, things got a little tricky with my finance and, if it weren’t for Mark, I am certain this deal would have fallen through. He is a superb communicator and he ensured everyone was in the loop every step of the way. Rather than speaking through attorneys, Mark spoke directly to the real estate agent and because there is so much trust, the agent was able to instill confidence in the vendors that everything was going to work out. Mark also kept me on track with all of the various deadlines outlined in the contract, checking on an almost daily basis to ensure I was on top of what I needed to be responsible for.In my opinion, working with a Buyers Agent in any real estate transaction, is a necessity not a luxury. Financially, I saved significantly more than their fee. Mentally, their service was invaluable.I coach businesses for a living and I was blown away by the level of service and transactional ease I experienced with Mark and Michaela.
