Have had brunch here a few times now, had a few coffee stops. Food always hits the spot, coffee as well. Staff very welcoming and food has always come out quickly

Delightful meal and coffee.I searched for best lunch in Ulverstone and surprisingly Methanga Espresso Bar didn’t come up. We just happened upon it and am so glad we did.It’s near the big Ulverstone clock roundabout, which is convenient for the many takeaway coffees and food we saw them serve while we were there. Apparently they have a really great loyalty program for takeaway coffees for their regulars.We came in late, around 130p and were the only table seated out of the handful of tables inside. They also have some tables just outside as well.The Specials Board featured a Tomato, Basil and Mushroom Soup which I simply could not walk past. It was very reasonably priced at $10 and felt totally nourishing. I made it through my soup but couldn’t manage the entire sourdough bread roll as well. Our little guy enjoyed an egg and bacon muffin, and my husband went for the Scotch Fillet Sandwich - The Lot, which he said he really enjoyed.To end with full bellies we knew we had to have some coffee to help pep us back up again and their foam was perfection on my cappuccino. Also I had to make room for a little gluten free Florentine as desert.Overall its so much more than an espresso bar - it really is a cafe you find out about and then frequent. They are friendly, fast, and make great food and coffee.Also the parking is so convenient right in front of it or any spot near the roundabout.Definitely recommend. My husband said this is the kind of place he’d go to write a bit while sipping on some flavourful coffee.

It’s a pity I can’t post images with this review. $9.00 for a dried out takeaway English muffin with an egg and a piece of bacon is outrageous.
