Goldfields Furniture
Over thirty years ago I bought a baltic pine trunk/box from Goldfields Furniture at the Pleasant St Market in Ballarat. I bought it for my children to store their huge Lego collection.They grew up and the Lego moved on and the chest became a storage for doonas and pillows.We have recently moved and the chest has now become a coffee table, maybe only temporarily, and is looking good.The timber has mellowed and gained character from the odd little chip or two but is as strong and as rustic as the day it was bought.I discovered the price tag identifying the maker in the move and thought I would write this little story
