Bought a brand new car from the Gold Coast an had it carried up. The drop off point was here. The lady there was so friendly. Great place for drop off of cars boats etc.

I had a major breakdown with my Cherokee in Hope Vale. So I traveled back to Cairns and purchased another car so I could recover it. After organizing freight back to Hervey Bay. Handy Tow was supposed to be the drop off location. So after leaving at 4 am that morning I arrived at Handy Tow at about 4 pm that afternoon Cherokee and hire trailer in tow only to discover their trading hours are 9am to 3pm so I rang the after hours number to inform them that I had left the vehicle out the front and keys in the letterbox. Mentioning also the the car was incapacitated! Well Sonya abruptly informed me that the car could not be towed by that company and I could not dump it there and would be charged 15 dollars a day storage fee (fair enough) then kindly gave me the number of another car carrying company Openica that would kindly help me recover my car. (at 3 times the original quote) So after contacting the original freight freight company, They organized anther car company to assist. However before pick up the storage fee had to be paid in full by credit card. I would not mind so much if I was local and not trying to enjoy the last few of my holiday to the Cape and had other holiday activities planned. These people are supposed provide a service not make things difficult. I would not recommend this company to move my skate board let alone my car. In the end my car was returned to me last night by another freight company no thanks to Handy Tow. Please beware if you are considering this company

WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS and Be careful using this Company If your going to need your car shipped anywhere... I had my BMW M3 shipped from Blacktown Sydney up to Cairns when my car arrived my front bumper was hanging off my vehicle partially connected hanging off and almost touching the floor and the car was absolutely filthy throughout and also the rims on my car was scratched .... the main reason why I am correct is because my car was shipped directly from a body shop in sydney to me in cairns...I had asked the driver what happen to my car ...he answered things tend to fall off the car during travels on a tow truck...I was super angry... when I asked to speak to someone in the office I was told by the driver there wasn't any office there that I would have to call the corporate office... After The Body Shop and me as well making repeated phone calls to their corporate office trying to resolve this after three months now and all they have done is avoided my calls and act as if they're not there when I do call so save your money and stay away from these irresponsible unconscientious Losers ..especially the manager Andrew Merick who doesn't even return my calls
