Gabrielle Johnson Music

I’ve very much enjoyed Gabrielle’s videos. She is a marvelous guitar teacher. I’ve not only enjoyed her guitar lessons, but also the funny videos with her in different costumes. Personally, I delight in people like Gabrielle who are good with children. I volunteered for many years with second and third grade children in their classrooms, so understand how much young children need patient, kind, caring adults who are there to teach and to protect them.

Where do we start?! What a fantastic, engaging and fun class Funky Beats is :) We were having quite some difficulty enrolling our child into an activity that he would love coming to each week, especially one that would be open to catering to his physical disability. Then we came across Funky Beats! I was intreagued as this class ticked all the boxes, an environment to sing, experiment with instruments and perform! I had not come across anything like it on my travels. From the get go, Gabrielle was warm, inviting and always a keen problem solver in terms of modifying and making things work for him to be included in the group. Our child's confidence has improved in an environment that fosters his love of music and interaction with other like minded children and supportive teachers. We cannot wait until our child is ready to perform in their monthly Open Mic sessions. Go Funky Beats!

Gabrielle Johnson Music is so much fun and everyone is so nice and friendly. As a current student, I absolutely love learning new things in many different aspects of music. We learn to play different songs on both the Guitar and Piano and we can sing along with it as well. It's for all levels and no one is judgemental. I only started playing guitar at the beginning of this year and now I can play multiple songs thanks to the amazing teachers.

My son has been lucky enough to be part of Gabrielle Johnson's musical offerings for the last year or two - the open mics in particular are a unique and amazing opportunity for young kids interested in music to get a chance to perform in a relaxed and supportive environment. Not only is it a special opportunity to perform but Gabrielle and her team are so supportive and encouraging of the kids as well as offering coaching and tips when needed - thank you !!

Both my girls went to Saturday Song school. My eldest who is now 18 years old still plays guitar everyday due to Gabrielle’s guitar lessons. Gabrielle is all about learning and performing at the same time. I am not sure you can get an opportunity for live performance every month with Gabrielle‘s Open Mic @ Coogee Diggers. I am not sure you can get this much from other music schools. Highly recommend!

Gabrielle provides up and coming young singers with a forum to show case their talents in a friendly and welcoming environment. The open mic sessions have enabled my 15 year old son to experience singing on a stage in front of a small receptive audience, which has improved his confidence, stage craft and singing ability. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon once a month. Give it a go!

Fantastic music school! ❤️ My 6-year-old daughter loves attending classes, singing, and playing instruments with other children. Gabrielle and Simon are fantastic music teachers. They pay attention to each child individually and truly nurture their talent for development. They have open mic sessions on the stage and an end-of-term performance that allows children to build their confidence and showcase their beautiful voices. Of course, they also offer classes for older children and teens. Thanks, guys, you're the best!

Gabrielle and her team have such a passion for music and their energy is contagious. My daughter started singing with Gabrielle when she was 7 years old. She is now a teenager and music is such a huge part of her life and we owe it to Gabrielle. We look forward to Open Mic every month. Getting teens off their devices and into instruments and performing has done wonders for my daughter’s confidence and love of music ❤️

My daughter is 10 and she has been learning at Gabrielle Johnson music for many years. She started from playing ukulele and singing, and now she is learning singing and guitar in a fun group class. Her teachers, Solomon and Gabrielle, are very talented and passionate musician who love to teach kids and teens. My daughter always finishes the class with a big smile on her face. It’s a great place to cultivate kids’ love for music and learn music!

Our daughter has been attending Gabrielle Johnson Music (Saturday Song School) for 4 years now and has had the best time. Gabrielle, Solomon and the team are talented amazing music teachers. They make each class fun, but also a learning space for the kids to love, learn and grow their confidence through music. Gabrielle has a very kind, caring and personal touch and will always go out of her way to help her students. Gabrielle sends midweek practice reminders which is so handy with our busy schedules. There is always an end of term concert where the kids get to perform, so there is always a goal for each term. I have seen a lot of growth in my daughter not only through music but in daily school life. Our daughter has also been performing at Open Mic Sydney hosted by Gabrielle and again through this it allows her to perform on stage with a real live audience watching! Thank you Gabrielle, you are amazing !
