Great food, generous portions, I was pleasantly surprised and really delicious cocktails. Giving 3 star because there is room for improvement on their service. For fine dining I expect attentive and friendly staff, despite notifying them about my allergy for gluten I was served with regular bread. My friend had to remind them twice before I was served with gluten free option which I was a bit embarrassed about that we had to ask. The waiter spilled drink twice while serving, not to mention getting snotty attitude for asking one of the staff member taking a group photo of our table.

Amazing experience at Catalina. The food is so so special. The local produce takes a front space at their menu and they literally make it shine. Don’t miss the fish and seafood.Florence took great care of us as did all of the staff in the restaurant.I cannot stress this enough. If you are in Sydney, Catalina is a MUST STOP.While we had an amazing warm full moon sunset, I can’t see why the space wouldn’t accommodate any weather that Rose Bay may present.The staff and family will take care of you.Really special time spent with them.

Gorgeous location, wonderfully fresh produce but when compared to the best restaurants in Sydney I can't say they're my favorite. In fact I probably won't go again when Sydney is spoilt with so many great choices.Catalina came highly recommended from friends, it's hard to fault a beautiful restaurant like this but I found their dishes didn't stand out. That's not to say it wasn't good!! Please go if you're on the fence. Theres plenty of parking which was a relief.

We were celebrating my husbands 70th birthday with a lunch. We were looked after beautifully. Excellent service left us feeling special. The food was as always excellent, delicious and perfectly presented.The acknowledgment of my husbands birthday in writing on his dessert plate was perfect. Thank you for making this occasion everything I had hoped it would be. Just thank you.

Beautiful place to go for any sort of celebration and date.The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet meal.We went for the three courses meal and it was more than enough. I ended up very satisfied.Food was delicious. I had steak tartare and saltwater barramundi. Sooo good.Desert didn't meet my expectations though. I had the chocolate and orange mouse and even though the presentation was great the overall experience wasn't as great as having the other two courses. I was told the lemon tart wasn't that good.Next time going there I'll do it during day time.

We asked one of the staff to take a photo for us, and he was so patient, ensuring he took the best photo possible!The presentation of the food was a work of art and everything was perfect. The balance of each ingredient and flavour was magical. I had a cocktail and I’m not usually an alcohol fan, but it tasted so good that I stole two sips from my partner! The poached Sydney rock lobster salad (entree) is a must-try dish. I highly recommend it.

The quality of the food was best in class however the service not as polished or as attentive as I had expected. No warm welcome and although seated promptly we were left for a little too long before a host came over to check in. $600 for 2 people. Had to ask a few times for the cheque etc. just the little details that were slightly lacking.

Thank you for a sensational lunch overlooking the beautiful Rose Bay. It was a picturesque day as you can see from the photos. Our daughter had a wonderful 19th Birthday lunch. Food, service and atmosphere was amazing. We were also lucky to have Michael the Pelican join us! xx

Booked a reservation for 2 to celebrate a special occasion. The 3 course a la carte menu for $140 per person was full of amazing choices and the dishes we chose were simply sublime (see photos attached).The pacing of the entree, main and desserts was carefully considered. In addition, we were always being checked on from time to time during our lunch booking (two thumbs up to the male waiter who kept on loading us up with the delicious bread slices as we waited for our entrees and mains).The Catalina staff and kitchen even catered for the fact that this was an anniversary and added a personal touch to the desserts to make it special.Fantastic meals combined with a wondrous view of Rose Bay blessed with sunny weather, couldn't ask for more!
