Vanitas is Queensland's heavy-hitting answer to Sydney's Quay and Melbourne's Ides. Make no mistake, this is an experience that elevates a special occasion and blurs the line between food and art. Rarely has Italian inspired fine dining been done that well.

I came here with a friend last night for dinner & it was beautiful! The staff provide the most amazing service, we were served by the lovely Mohammad. I can never fault the quality of the food here it is consistently beautiful & I have visited several times now.

Wow! What an evening.Staff - attentive and knowledgeable but not pretentious. Made us feel welcome and special.Food - An incredible set menu, with beautiful plating. The chef came out occasionally to serve us which was lovely. Some special inclusions were a 35yo balsamic vinegar, bread made with a 3yo yeast, a crab salad that was beautiful and a kangaroo lollipop.If you love good food, or are looking for somewhere to celebrate I highly recommend Vanitas.

Thoroughly enjoyed the degustation experience at Vanitas. Food and service was excellent. They were also able to adjust the dishes to make them gluten free/coeliac suitable.

The restaurant slightly seemed short staffed but the waiters had great customer service. However the food wasn’t anything spectacular, my 6 course degustation had a lot of hit and miss dishes. The beetroot tart and the tortellini was enjoyable however rest of the dishes didn’t live up to its hatted expectations. One of the dish in particular (which now I can’t see from the menu anymore) with goats milk pictured with cherry tomato was extremely hard to swallow. I left this dish almost untouched. Luckily the waiter offered a shot of limoncello to wash it down.

What can I say, the food was exquisite I wish I had a higher word. The food was out of this world amazing. The passion from the chefs, represented the level of talent they have. The flavours, the texture everything was amazing. The service was warm and welcoming and I have zero faults. My new favourite. Seeing passion like that on a plate and tasting the love in cooking just made it feel like a whole experience and we were blown away. Bravo to the Italian chefs - thank you our new favourite

Exceptional experience from start to finish. My partner and I love fine dining and were very excited to dine at a 2 hatted Italian restaurant with a strong reputation. The evening exceeded our high expectations. We were taken on a spectacular journey of refined and perfectly balanced flavours, exquisite presentation, seamless service and the beautiful opulence of the Palazzo Versace. The staff were warm, attentive and generous with their hospitality and even gave us a card and gift chocolates as an anniversary gift which concluded an absolutely perfect evening. A restaurant of this calibre is well worth planning a trip interstate for - we will definitely be back!

I loved! Excellent food and service, high quality! I went to Vanitas last Saturday, I had the set menu without the wine option. I think was a good choice for me because it has 9 meals and one wine for each meal for me is too much.
