Well first review of the year, this time at the paragon hotel. Food was good foe the price. My wife had the starter of Tex mex nachos. What was supposed to be a starter came like a main. Worth it for the 17 dollars. She said it was filling tasted nice she was happy.. Happy wife happy life.I had the pub classic chicken parmigiana.. with chips and colslaw for 23 dollarsAlso ordered a creamy garlic sauce with it an extra 3 dollars. The parmigiana was great.. added the sauce to it made it a whole lot better.. not bug just a good meal size..Was cooked to perfection. The chips were spot on but not enough.. nice crispy..The coleslaw I did not enjoy.. was sour and lifeless .. one mouthful was enoughThe beer great northern was nice and cold.Wife had lemon lime and bitters mixed just right. Two Irish barmaids very friendly. All in all I nice experience and we will be back.Thank you.

I ordered a rump steak for lunch and fed most of it to my dog (who enjoyed it).It was a tough, stringy price of meat which was poorly cooked; well done on one side, barely cooked on the other and raw in the middle.Expensive dog food!

Staff were friendly. Food was fast and efficient. We had the $14 lunch specials. My husbands fish and chips he said was great. I had a blt wasn't fantastic, could only taste the aoli, bread roll was toasted so made it dry and I still haven't found the tomato. I would still go back as it wasn't terrible just could have been better. The pub itself has a nice atmosphere.

We had the nachos, I should say it was a nachos mountain of delight. Very generous serve with beans, mince, avacado, and more. The chicken parmigiana was the best I've tried in mudgee, and we shared a delicious cauliflower and roasted pumkin salad. The venue is bright and has some style. W. will definitely come back

We weren’t sure if we needed to make a reservation on a Sunday night but lucky we did because the restaurant area was packed!! Absolutely full all tables with a long line at the order station as well as at the bar. The roast of the day was priced fairly but the pork was dry and peas were not fresh. The $46 rib eye was actually quite good. The restaurant garden inside was very warm thanks to multiple gas heaters and a fireplace and we were happily surprised they even had a small game room for young kids which our kid loved. Sundays incur a 10% surcharge.Edit: we waited >30mins for dessert and when we asked they had forgotten to put our order through. Just be aware Sundays are crazy busy.

My wife and I visited last night for a meal. The place was very busy, even on a Tuesday night, but we were directed by a very lovely lady to a table at the front of the pub. She also made sure we were ok a number of times. We both had the sausages and mash and they were the best bangers and mash we have had for a long while. Good food at a reasonable price. Also the wine list had a lot of local Mudgee wines so a good opportunity to taste them so we can go and buy some today at the door of the wineries. Great country pub.

Good value and tasty meals. Nice ambience, friendly staff. We had the Ribs & Steak and the Chicken Schnitzel. Good sized portions and well cooked. We will be back regularly.

Used to be the best pub for lunch with the dogs, as they have a lovely outdoor beer garden. For some reason they've banned dogs now, which is a disappointing decision.

As a Mudgee local I am sad I didn’t find this little gem sooner ! By far the best pub feed in Mudgee YUM. We get takeout often and now our first call is Paragon. It is also always a pleasure to eat in. Happy to have a feed any day

I’ve tried a bunch of different places to eat in Mudgee for lunch and dinner, but this is the one that won me over.Awesome atmosphere, friendly service and the food… decent sized, priced and flavourful. Thanks guys!
