I went here when I was younger (from age 7-11), and it’s seriously my favourite place. I found it super fun with little pressure, and it gave me confidence. I am still performing (now 17) and am so thankful for the lessons I learnt with stage left. Send your kids here it’s a great vibe and culture.

My daughter recently participate in the Stage Kids Holiday Workshop and she had such a wonderful week. The staff were nurturing and encouraging of all the little performers, helping them to build confidence throughout the week. Our daughter was full of smiles, and beamed with pride after the final performance. I cannot thank Stage Left enough for giving her such a safe space to begin her performing journey.

I am a mum who sent my little one to Stage Left Kids holiday workshop for 4-7 y from 26 Sept to 30 Sept at glen iris for drama, singing, and dancing. During the end of the workshop performance for the last day show (The Enormous Turnip ) there are 20 children 8 of which are east Asian, but none of them has been selected to be one of the 7 lead characters who are standing on the centre of stage (old man, old woman, little boy, little girl, dog, cat, mouse ) . Clearly, kids love to cosplay cute baby animals more than being narrator, and standing on the centre of the stage gain more attention from all the audiences, but all the east Asian children are playing as the narrator.Considering this workshop is designed for 4-7 y kids, I do not think their ability for acting could be that much different based on race or culture. I do not understand why none of the east Asian children are qualified for those lead characters.I sent email to the Stage Left and got answer as At our Stage Kids workshop we try to divide the show material as evenly as possible – in most of the shows there are no characters that would be considered ‘lead’. The lines are distributed evenly - most children end up with 1/2 lines to speak and each song and dance number is performed by all children. We try to keep the students in the same position throughout the performance – most families choose to sit in front of their child

The Stage Left Team provides quality music theatre training in a supportive environment - a great choice for kids who love music theatre. I've been really impressed by their attention to teaching kids the finer details of the craft. Great team and great program!

My son LOVES Stage Left!!! I have been so impressed at how they have managed to keep operating during lockdown - even running a virtual school holiday program last week culminating in a virtual show that all the parents and grandparents could dial in and watch.Great teachers, great engagement with the kids, learning great new skills and lots of happy faces!

My daughter has been doing Stage Left Stage Kids for 1 year now. I am very impressed with them. I feel they offer a very solid course, covering drama, singing, and dancing. Everything is age appropriate and its lots of fun. Its a nice group of kids. The thing that stands out about them though is they are so professional. It's just a well run business. The communication is great, things are organised, they just have their systems down pat. I really appreciate this because my kids do other kids activities that are just chaotic and poorly organised. I find stage left low key and low stress from the parents perspective!

Thank you for a wonderful holiday workshop, Rebecca had a fabulous time. I was a bit worried about the online format but Justin and Frannie are just amazing - they made it so much fun and were so engaging that it was truly the best zoom classes she's ever done. So in a tough time when our kids are missing out on seeing friends and family, this was a really great outlet. Thanks again.

My two girls have been with Stage Left (Glen Iris) for going on six years now. Throughout that time, their enthusiasm has never wavered which I think speaks to the excellent teachers. When covid hit, Stage Left pivoted quickly into an online zoom program - I was really pleased to see my girls really enjoying this every Saturday afternoon for three hours... what a great thing to do when stuck in the house! As we enter lockdown yet again, I can definitely recommend Stage Left whether the program is online or offline!

I was at Stage Left for 3-4 years. I didn't enjoy it because you got a role in musicals based off your age. The older you were, the more chance you had at getting a lead role. I didn't really find it fair. I put the idea in my head that I could never do acting professionally as a kid and it really made my goal of doing that feel like a dream I'll never achieve. Thanks Stage Left for teaching me everything I know now but I personally think putting people into roles and classes a bit unfair.
