St Anthony's Kindergarten

Hands down Paul & Heather are the greatest kindy teachers I could have asked for. Our son loved every minute of kindergarten. I can't recommend them highly enough to other families and thank my friend for recommending them and the school to us.

Our son loved every minute of his Kindy year at St Anthony's Kindergarten. From his first day we were confident we made the right decision as his teachers (Paul & Heather are the best!) provided an engaging curriculum in a fun, supportive environment. He thrived throughout the year by participating in various learning experiences that encouraged his interests and fostered compassion as well as inclusiveness. He made lasting friendships which will continue into Prep making the transition easier. Needless to say, we would highly recommend St Anthony's Kindergarten as it has been the perfect precursor to Prep.

My three children have gone to St Anthony's Kindergarten and we have all loved it there. Paul and Heather have been fantastic with the care and development of my children and they are very easy people to talk to.There is great exposure to Prep and school life with regular visits to the library and playground, some Church and school assembly events. There is book week dress up and the children are part of the school parade and they get to run a race at the school sports day.They also have a grade 4 buddy for the year where they meet up and do activities together.Every day the children have a regular morning session where they sing good morning and have a quiet minute where they can have a special thought for someone in their life around they prayer table and candle (battery operated).Cooking, gardening, home corner, threading, writing and collage are just some other regular activities that the children do.The drop off and pick up times at this Kindergarten were achievable even though my children attend St Mary Mackillop in Birkdale 5-10mins away with similar times.The children bring their own lunch and learn to eat the healthy choice foods first. They also learn what items are waste, recyclable or compost.This is really a great place to send your child to kindergarten.

St Anthony’s Kindergarten has been a great fit for all my children. Paul and Heather have done an amazing job supporting, encouraging and teaching my children through play to help with the transition into prep. The centre is relaxed but engaging and has a wonderful outdoors connection with nature! Being involved in school activities such a sports day and library borrowing has given my kids the excitement to start school, giving them a seamless transition! Paul and Heather are warm and loving, connecting on a personal level with all my children and family members and also encourage independent behaviour that my children need. I feel very blessed to have all three of my children attend St Anthony’s Kindergarten.

Beautiful, caring kindergarten with amazingly nurturing teachers who go above and beyond to provide a play / inquiry based preschool education with outstanding preparation for the school years. This is our third time round as a kindergarten family but our first time at St A’s and by far it has been the best experience! Paul and Heather supported our son so much with engaging him in play, helping to developing social and life skills to set him in good foundation for the school years ahead. What a warm and embracing place. Thanks so much St A’s! Highly recommend to any family wanting an excellent foundation to the school years.
