Little Star Indian restaurant
On first impression we were dubious. However the food is excellent and made to order. We had vegetarian samosa, beef vindaloo, butter chicken and mixed vegetables. The food was excellent and inexpensive. They even gave us extra rice when they saw we ran low! BYO is a bonus. Arguably the best Indian west of the great dividing range.

Great tasting Indian food not over spicing .Steamed rice perfectly cooked.Much better than Indian food eaten in Brisbane and NSW.

Ordered a Hawaiian Pizza for $17.99 [+plus mango chicken, cheese and garlic naan bread] ($55.99 total including deliver [$10] Had it delivered to my motel room (Albert Park). Bloke deliverd it within 45mins, the problem was the size of the pizza, it was about 10-12cm diameter, which is in my book a small pizza and definitely NOT worth 18 bucks. There was a sprinkle of mixed herbs or something on it as well which took away the Hawaiian taste, happy not to order from there again. Sorry for the bad review but had to do it.Tony

We eat a lot of Indian food. This was very very good and some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Took a little while to get our food but they were very busy with takeaway. I gather you can order when booking if you want and therefore no waiting time. But if you love Indian , this is definitely worth a visit.

Food was really good. I ordered Lamb Vindloo with a garlic naan. Service was slow. Took 35min for food to be served after ordering. At first I thought the main meal wasn’t large enough but with rice and the naan it was very fulfilling and tasty.

After 6 weeks without Indian food what a joy to come across this small indian restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our entrees of chicken tikka and samosas. Mains were good too, husband pleased with his lamb saag, my coconut prawn dish was one I have not had before, so good to try something new. Naan was delicious and crispy. Ordered a dahl to takeaway will probably try that tomorrow. Friendly staff and clearly enjoyed by the locals.

For a country town this was one of the best Indian meals I've had since visiting India! The service was friendly and all the food ordered was delicious. We tried samosas, pappadums, raita, garlic naan and the butter chicken. The food exceeded our expectations and we'll be back if we're in Longreach again.

We called into the restaurant around 4.30 to book a table. It is deceptive in it’s appearance. It looks like a small place when you enter with only a couple of tables however there is another room around to the right together with a separate childs play area. They were expecting a large table of 20 around 6.30. So we reserved a table and preordered our dinner for 6.30. We arrived then and our dinner was ready at 6.40. We had Lamb Korma, Chicken Saag, Vegetable Curry and 2 plain naan. Plain basmati rice is included in the order. Total cost $76 credit card surcharge took it to $77.25. Everything was delicious and all the staff including the owners were very pleasant and friendly. While we were eating we witnessed a few people being turned away as the restaurant was full. A lot of takeaway orders were being picked up as well. A lucky couple turned up as we were finishing to take our table. So book to avoid disappointment or order takeaway. They also do pizzas for dinner and have a lunch menu which is totally different, burgers, fish and chips, wraps etc.

We Got take away for 4 people. 2 pizzas and 1 curry & rice meal. All of it was so tasty. Was highly recommended by a local and we Highly recommend. A+
