OVER-RATED. NOT FOR TOURIST OR VISITORS.Place looks pretty and service was kind and polite. Unfortunately the pasta is store-bought and simply has way too much MSG. There is nothing wrong with store-bought but they clearly are using the cheapest quality.I am from Melbourne with a tight Italian circle. Being in FNQ, perhaps this level is fine for locals. After all, we only tried it because of the high ratings. Whilst food had good flavour (courtesy of MSG), it is far from authentic italian. Italian isn't complicated. Its fresh ingredients with high quality olive oil. You should be able to smell the olive aroma.Cabernet Sauvignon selection was also extremely tarty and acidic. I approached the manager and she was aware that the wine wasn't the best to serve straight from the bottle. If they cared enough, they would switch out their wine selections.Overall, it has a cute decor that made me think of one of those alleyway italian diners you see in other cities. Unfortunately it all ends there and the chef and owners I doubt are even Italian.My conclusions is this place has an emphasis on seafood with moderate prices. They keep prices low by cutting out quality ingredients i.e. cheap olive oil, homebrand pasta and cheap wine.

I tasted a wide variety of dishes here, dining with a group of 12. The lasagna was acceptable; gnocchi was outstanding (some of the best I've ever had); the meat dishes were quite good. All of the seafood was very well done and the seafood pasta dishes used shellfish expertly to provide an umami base.On service: the staff were attentive, and gracefully served our large table, pacing the starters and the mains well and bringing out all twelve mains at once.Altogether, we enjoyed ourselves greatly and would return any time!

Fantastic food and service. The quality of Italian food is superb! My husband and I enjoyed dinner so much, we came back the following night! Our absolute favourites were the scallop special, seafood linguini, seafood risotto and dessert called “death by chocolate”. The French martini was also very delicious and well balanced :)

Dined with friends on amazingly delicious and beautifully presented food. The Panna Cotta was like a reef scene. Can't wait to return.

Enjoy a fresh prawn and linguine with tasty tomatoes. The sauce is rich and fresh. Also try a gnocchi with quattro formaggio. Add a rucola e parmeggiano salad with a rich balsamic dressing. This is a lovely dinner. Add a nice light red. It's a marvellous experience.

I would give 15 out of 10 for their pasta! My favorite was Linguine Alla Marinara. Tomato sauce was perfectly made with a lot of fresh seafood taste. Staff were very professional and nice too.

Omg the food at this Italian restaurant was amazing, so very tasty, however the main portion size a little small, but that left room for dessert. Everyone's plate looked well presented and delicious.

Busy place but nice staff. We had the bruschetta as a starter which was virtually tasteless and a disappointment. But they redeemed themselves with the main. I had the linguine e gamberoni and my partner had the pappardelle bugs. The flavour was so good i forgive them for the slightly too firm pasta (even after waiting 40 minutes) and slightly chewy prawns (maybe using frozen prawns?) on my linguine. The pappardelle had a cream based tomato sauce which is not explicitly stated on the menu but the flavours were delicious. Worth a visit.

This is a must visit while you are in Cairns! The food is tasty, we have been in a few times and it is consistently top notch.They were very helpful making some food for kids, as well as accommodating dietary requirements.The only let down was the service didn't match the food. Staff could use some training, particularly on menu items.

Easily one of the best Italian dishes I have ever had. It was so good that we went twice. The food quality and prices are fantastic.
