The Grotto Nowra
A nice little view of the river from up high. Multiple viewing points over the rock cliffs. The entry is very wet and muddy though.

FYI: DO NOT enter track on Yurunga DriveMy partner and I took 30 mins to work out where the track was.Had to walk on road for most of the journey and had to ask a local for directions.We entered the track from the Caravan Park near Shoalhaven zoo (via the road) next to the river.We walked the upper grotto track but had to cut our journey short as it took us 1.5 hours. Poor signage, lots of confusion, many forks in the path and had to constantly stop and look at Google maps.

The Grotto in Nowra has a few walking tracks. From easy grades to medium. Some steep rock steps and jumps on the medium track. Plenty of signs.

It's an easy walk, not smooth, need to look down for stones, roots, but beautiful views from Lookout places along this walk, you can see the Shoalhaven River, just lovely!

The trail is Not properly marked, we ended up spending about 30 to 45 mins just trying to make sense of the trail.

fabulous bush walk..lots of birds and beautiful old trees - good track and steps . I did it with a fit 80 year old and a friend who had fairly recently had knee replacements - slow but possible and they loved it...a great rock climbers wall along the way that my rock climbing friend says is the best in Nowra area...amazing rock formations all along the walk..several access points with plenty of parking

Great place to walk above and along the Shoalhaven river. We'll kept and easy to follow. A great place to bring a blanket and food and stop for a quick picnic on a good day. Easy enough for children 5 years and older.

no clear sign on the track - time & distance. unable to find the entrance. the walk ended up in the road and had to walk back to the car park on the road.
