Tongala Caravan Park

Came here as it was the closest park with a swimming pool to where we were (free) camped. Unfortunately the pool was not in a state to be used. Amenities however were spotless, beautiful shady, grassy sites and really nice playground. (Not that we needed one. ) A short walk into town, pub, supermarket, some murals and a really nice war memorial.

Been sitting out in the driveway since 1.58. No office open. Tried calling both mobile numbers on the office outside wall, numerous times. Both ring out and go to message bank. No return call. Evan walked down to amenities block thinking may be cleaning. No one around. Coded gate, so can't even drive in and sort out payment later. Very poor service. Now 3.38. Left a note on their door and left.

Rangehood dropped thick dusty grease blobs on stovetop cooking, kitchen area/taps thick grease that makes fingertips stick and 3 rounds of washing hands with dishwashing liquid still is sticky.Small mite looking bugs in corners of room wait is it mould, it's both. Mite bugs also on mattress. Washed dishes before use because they weren't washed. Gas kept turning off.All fans and vents have not been cleaned in probably a couple of years. Thick with grease and dust so didn't bother.Mould on shower curtain. Dead bugs everywhere. Everything has a layer of grime.

From my personal experience at this caravan park, I must say I'm extremely impressed with how lovely, accommodating and friendly the managers are. They are so knowledgeable of the area kindly and willingly recommending nice attractions and places to go for breakfast. The amenities are of a very clean and high standard, beautiful grassy areas to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the country air. The pool is refreshing and a pleasant place to sit back and relax. Thank you for making my stay such an enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back and will recommend! Way to go Tongala Caravan Park! To those who have given negative reviews you appear to be unnecessarily picky, because my experience was of top quality! :)

Come to the place to do moving-out service for its resident, but not allow to get in as per their No Visitor policy. Wondering how they do maintenance without outsourcing services. Understandable policy to be in line with the government restrictions, but such an illogical and non-sense implemention by its staffs. If staying her, try to avoid any problem at all cost as it only gets worst.

The office suddenly changed our cable gate password,and didn’t tell us or message, we still live here, That male host named Tom is very unfriendly to Asians! And the man Tom, he asked us to wait outside for 15 minutes, but basically it has been more than 15 minutes! If such a problem occurs again, we will file a complaint!

The new family running the park are lovely. The park is very clean & tidy. We stayed in new cabins, with new towels & pillows etc. I love the no hustle & bustle of the park. We will be back.

Very happy with the friendly and helpful service that Mikaela and Tom provide! Very impressed with the cleanliness of all amenities and facilities. The grounds are tidy and well kept and there is a fresh and homely feel to the place!I have been very happy with my very reasonably priced grassy and shady powered site, conveniently located close to amenities and communal cooking facilities.The security is good with locked amenities with a key provided to you upon checking in and an individual pin for the front gate. There is 24/7 cctv in all the key area of the park.10/10 would recommend.
