After a 2h hiking trip we saw the kiosk and were wondering if we could get some drinks to go. After the first impression we thought it's actually more a restaurant but the waitress was very helpful and took time even if it was very busy at this day. The view is impressive and we can highly recommend the milkshakes (to go for refreshing during the hiking).

We stopped by this place for lunch on our hike through the Blue mountains. It was more formal than we expected and a bit pricey but stuff was friendly and view is amazing. We enjoyed our salads and sandwiches - nice balanced combination of tastes and ingredients.

Wonderful spot for a special lunch or dinner. We had a large group and had booked well in advance and it couldn't have been better. Wait staff were more than obliging, food was fabulous and the view...WOW! Thanks again for such a wonderful day

Beautiful spot, let down by overpriced, badly cooked food.The pork belly was served on a nice sauce, but very dry and overcooked. Much tougher than you would expect pork belly to be.The adventurous dish on the menu was alpaca ribs which sounded interesting, however the dish was tiny with only two small ribs and the meat so dry/burnt that a significant portion was inedible.My wife's steak on the other hand was very nicely cooked, with a great wasabi moose. I wish the quality of that dish had been replicated through the rest of the menu.The staff were friendly, but service wasn't what you would expect for the price point.Overall one of the most disappointing meals i've had in a long time.

Cute cottage and good views. Went for lunch. Food good quality but small servings for the price. $30 for a salmon salad that was not very big or filling. Over $30 for pasta and meatballs. Service was a little brusque with plates placed with a thump on the table. Server was trying to be pleasant but felt forced.

Had dinner here and enjoyed ourselves...the food was nicely presented and tasty. It is pricey though...expect to spend up to $100pp.Service was fine as well...the decor seems a bit bland and could use an update.

I've just been to a wedding at Solitary. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The canapes and beer or sparkling wine flowed freely. For the meal there was an option of meat or fish with salad. My meat was cooked excellently. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a special day.

I ate at Solitary with my wife on her birthday on June 2015 and it was excellent. We went there midweek for lunch and the food was mostly excellent. We had duck salad for entree with chicken amd steak for main then citrus tart for desert. The duck salad was 5* the steak was 4.5* the chicken was 4* and the citrus tart was 4* and the service was excellent on the day as well. We might go back soon and try lunch again and see if its still as good as last time.

We drove up from Sydney to the Blue Mountains for the day and had a wonderfully delicious lunch at Solitude. The Persian-spiced chicken and the barramundi were mouth-wateringly good! We topped the meal off with a very tasty dessert of vanilla bean ice cream. We will definitely be back!
