Just Screw It

I've used JSI a lot and recommend the company without reservation. They show up reliably, give full informed quotes, take the time to explain, are fully responsive to any queries or suggestions, and provide consistently good, solid work. JSI has a cadre of workers, a full time office staff, and an intelligent and responsible management team, all of which makes for a good experience and - economies of scale! The most recent work done was installation of large outdoor windows in my garage, enlarging a window in outdoor study, paintwork and clean up. There were the usual small hold ups - such as an outside brickie not showing up - but they solved it. No small contracting job is without its minor hitches but JSI always keeps me informed and finishes the job in a good time frame.

BUYER BEWARE! We knew the directors wife personally and so engaged this company for our 4 bedroom/3 bathroom reno. What we received was a sub-contracted builder and his team of apprentices, called All Class Building run by Daniel. Weeks into the project we had an independent builder check their work and also the sub contracted plumber, Rozelle Plumbing. 4 pages of defects later, we had to ask for corrections to be made, my husband even tried to get a hold of the director and he didn't have the courtesy of calling us to discuss. We later discovered plumbing works weren't up to scratch, when we approached plumber they said nothing at issue here, the sheeting could go in no problem - Just Screw It said the same (picture attached). We ended our dealings with them but here is a list of the corrections we had to make with a new team. Plumbing (taps had to be moved into the correct spot, waste pipes changes to larger capacity, had to remove all the rubbish they left under the house) the carpenter apprentice hammered a hold through the floor which we had to pay to correct the ceiling underneath. They destroyed plants in our garden during the demo phase, the builders took tik tok videos of our property without permission, proper sheeting was never hung to seperate the building level to other areas of the house properly. Our signed contract was with the builder director Chad Loxsom, he quoted but we had nothing to do with him ever again. I did hear back that they had issues with the long hours our sub contractor was working (8/9am until 6/7pm) and the materials they purchased each week, we still have a lot of material left onsite which was never required. In addition, for every trade we have had to hire since, as soon as I mention the name Just Screw It, they tell me they only hear bad accounts of this company. Put your hard earned money into a more professional building company.

I had a great experience with Just Screw It. I contacted several builders all of who didn't get back to me. The Just Screw It team provided me with an accurate quote and the job was completed soon after the anticipated end date. The team were professional, prepped the house and tidied up after themselves as well as the quality and finish of the job being to a high standard. I would not hesitate to use Just Screw It again.

We hired Just Screw It to repair our deck. We couldn't be happier by their service and the whole experience. We logged a request and within minutes, we received a response from Chad seeking to schedule a time to understand our needs. Chad was professional an on time for our appointment. He immediately sent a reasonable budget estimate and, once accepted, his team schedule a job appointment that suited our hurried needs. JSI carpenter, Matthew, was amazing: on time, careful, professional, diligent and just great. The deck looked fabulous and the project came under budget. I would totally recommend Just Screw It for a home repair job as I will be calling on them again.

I used the services of Rhys and team from Just Screw recently to transform my backyard from a dank, damp unused space to a beautiful courtyard. Having spoken to several Landscapers, I was impressed with Rhys' design ideas and the fact that he developed a 3D graphic of what it would look like. I was happy to wait for several months for a gap in his schedule, taking this as an indication that he was in demand! The quality of the team's work, their communication, attitude on site, tidiness and attention to detail were all excellent and I'm really delighted with the finished product. The work included soil excavation, installing new drainage and laying stone pavers / cobblestones with a mondo grass border.Rhys' initial price estimate was accurate and his accounting for the costs completely transparent. I thoroughly recommend Rhys and the team.

Just Screw It were fantastic. They did an en-suite bathroom renovation for me, end to end, in March 2023, over 3-4 weeks. The project manager Ethan was fabulous – pleasant, organised and a good communicator. The job went totally to plan and was stress free for me and I love my new bathroom.Every person in the whole trades team was great – high quality workmanship from them all, good advice, great attitude, polite, neat and tidy, turned up when they said they would, left the place clean etc. I am having the same team back to do my main bathroom this month.Also Larna in JSI's office provides great support on the contracts side and made what looked complex easy for me, and Colin who oversees and schedules all the jobs is super-organised and the scheduling and billing was easy to understand and timely. The job came in on quote. I am very thankful for all of their help.

My house had an exterior timber panel in need of repair due to dry rot; also a mesh rodent barrier that needed replacing. Scott did an excellent job, seeking out the right materials and working with skill and patience to complete the job. He communicated well, had an eye for detail, and was reliably on time. I recommend Just Screw It for building maintenance work.

For ages we have had problems with large sliding doors at our house. Jimmy from Just Screw It was assigned to our job. He gets 5 out of 5 from us for a number of reasons. He was punctual, turning up at the agreed time and confirming with us on the morning of the job that he was on his way. He knew straight away what the problem was with our doors and proceeded to have all of them fixed within a few hours. He is clearly an experienced professional and a really nice guy to deal with too. We couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t hesitate recommending Jimmy to clients of Just Screw It (who we have used for other work and had the same excellent outcome).

This is my second time working with Rhys and the team and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism, expertise and quality of work make them a pleasure to deal with…and they are also genuinely nice guys. Rhys, Brad and Darren were always happy to accommodate our ever changing plans and offer suggestions and solutions. Will definitely use again in the future.
