Where can I start? After three weeks of searching for a rental property amidst Brisbane’s housing crisis, we were left frustrated and were almost regretting our move to Brisbane for our son’s education. Not a single realestate agent bothered to understand our personal situation and spare even a minute to talk to us. We rented a property through Ray White Annerley earlier in 2022 and we were very unimpressed with the property manager, Michelle Nelson. We found her rude, unapproachable and disrespectful. Thankfully we didn’t have to deal with her much throughout the tenancy however moving out was a difficult process, especially when attempting to process a change of tenancy. We had to keep following Michelle up and pay fees which were not recoverable. She also made snarky comments about how we should have waited to buy our first home because it was too much of an inconvenience for her to re-tenant the property. She’d also told my partner that “she doesn’t have time for chat chat” and to email her instead of calling. How is that customer service? Early on in the tenancy we advised her of a water pressure issue and leaking taps downstairs, but she shrugged it off saying she’s “never heard of that”. I wouldn’t trust Ray White Annerley to manage my investment property because towards the end of the tenancy, there was a separate water leak in the kitchen downstairs while we were away which contributed to black mould growth and rotting baseboards. When trying to leave and obtain our bond, she took over 5 days to respond and it wasn’t until we requested for the bond to be released directly with the RTA that she got back to us. To be fair, she was away for part of this time, but no one else at Ray White Annerley could tell us anything about it when we followed it up. Before purchasing my first home I rented other properties and these property managers were far more pleasant to deal with. My experience with Ray White Annerley makes me never want to rent a property again.

Personal, one to one professional service with quick turnaround in responses to enquiries and job requests. Would not hesitate to rent with Ray white in the future.
