Stopped by today to purchase a new bike and the people here were lovely, very informative and not pushy at all, unlike another bike shop we stopped at just prior. 10 out of 10. Ended up purchasing 2 bikes here because of how helpful the staff were, we had plans to shop around more, we were so impressed we just purchased then and there, don't waste your time shopping around just go here from the get go.

The team at Giant Hobart are fabulous. As a new bike user, they provided me with advice and support and I never felt any pressure to rush into a purchase. Retail experiences are so hit and miss, especially when shopping for expensive items you have limited knowledge of. The manager personally attended to me and absolutely astounded me with her knowledge of bicycles and customers. She rapidly assessed my needs and steered me to a a highly satisfactory sale. Very pleased

I was referred to McBain from another shop when my rear shock had a strange problem, the shock pump wouldn't engage the valve core after is was serviced by a Melbourne bike shop (who I won't bother naming since they're thankfully no longer around).The folks at McBain went to huge lengths to help me out, removing the valve core, swapping it for another from a shock off one of their demo bikes, and even installing the core from my shock in their test rig. In the end it seemed to re-seat properly and has been fine since. The mechanic very generously didn't charge me anything for his time, of course I made a few purchases to show my gratitude. Deadset one of the best experiences I've had in a bike shop, ever. Would give ten out of five stars if I could.

Professional, experienced and friendly staff. Bike costs and servicing very good value for money. Staff always happy to answer my many questions and provide advice. I highly recommend this business.
