Cost for camping on unpowered site was $16 each so $32 for my wife and I. Great location and kid friendly. Animal sanctury behind the resort was cool, they had camels and emus that we saw. Amenities were a total let down and in very much need of a revamp. There was more water coming out of my shower head vertacally then on my body. Very outdated but considering the location its not that bad. They had a sunset and sunrise viewing platform and a pool but we didnt go in. You must go into the roadhouse and get a coffee. Very delicous coffee and temp was just right! Overall a nice stop for on the way through.

We stayed in one of the cabins and felt this was terribly overpriced for what is a very ordinary, dreary and unloved room. No sound or noise insulation from the rooms either side. Shower curtain was short so water everywhere. No soap holder or any shelf in the shower. In the room the curtains were beyond tired. Tiny TV. The camping area looked a much better option. On the plus side the bar/restaurant was excellent. Good happy hour beer and my T-bone steak was delicious.

You can't not stop into the Erldunda roadhouse, its a BIG stretch from Alice Springs to Uluru, just outside Alice is the Erldunda Roadhouse, a great spot to stop for fuel, a breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time, with a fully equipped cafe kitchen as well as a pub & camping.

We wanted to drive all the way to curtin springs but sunset came upon us too quickly. We stopped at Erldunda campsite, also to fill the petrol. Careful, while waiting, a person made us open our window and threw his painting in my hand wanting to sell them. I got a little scared to be honest. The campsite is just to the left of the restaurant and petrol station. We paid 80$ for an unpowered site for 5 adults. Showers and bathrooms were clean, nice hot water. We used the camp kitchen but we were quickly invaded by insects and flies (no fridge,no cooker, just a microwave, kettle and sink). The staff are friendly. We woke up and saw a camel and emu behind a fence, that was nice.

It's the only place to stay in Ghan, has motel rooms, camping and caravan areas. Has emus and camels. Petrol station, convenience store, cafe, tavern all at the front. Nice staff, nice motel rooms, great food at the tavern, very popular and busy and sometimes hard to find a table but worth the effort.

Stayed for 1 night on my way north. $165 for the room, neat and tidy, no major issues, great shower, nice pressure for a change. The only down side was no microwave and the floor very creaky. Could hear/feel every step in the room next door. Dinner options in the tavern were a bit lean but settled on the Outback Stack burger. Was not disappointed, huge, and one of rhe best burgers I've had in a while. Would recommend.

Very basic facilities on the camp grounds. The tavern and staff were pleasant, food was great, however if you need fuel, try to avoid this place. After travelling 12000km it is the most expensive.. The excuse of ( it's central Australia) doesn't cut it As it is the main supply route.

We stopped here as part of our tour with Emu run to Uluru. We found the Cafe prices to be very reasonable given the location is the centre of Australia. Staff were very friendly and the coffee was fantastic. We enjoyed our breakfast here.

Didn’t stay in the hotel, however took the petrol at the filling station. The service was quite friendly. Suggest to have with your tank, full beforehand not to pay a heavy amount. I personally find the drive between Uluru and Alice Springs quite overrated. Definitely it is a neat and clean drive the world with a good landscape. However Australia offers much better variety of drives like great Ocean Drive. Alice Spring has hardly anything to offer as compare to Uluru.

We had a one night stay while returning from Uluru and must say very impressed by the service and overall experience esp give remote location - they don't let you feel that with their arrangements. The service is excellent. The tavern has nice dinner options which are served from 4pm -8pm (hot food) and open till 9pm for drinks. The shop in front has some nice breakfast, lunch pickup options and takeaway coffee. Lots of souvenir, travel and snack food takeaway shopping options too in the shop.
