This is literally the best Malaysian/Singaporean Restaurant in Sydney. This is what I ordered:- Hainanese Chicken Rice (Best in Sydney)- Char Kuey Teow (Best in Sydney)- Fish Head Beehoon- Chef’s Special Bean CurdThe Chicken Rice is only available on weekend and they have a limited portion. I suggest you call and make reserve the chicken rice if you plan on coming. The four menu that I ordered were all very delicious. You can’t go wrong with either one of them.

Phenomenal. Kopitiam Cafe is a rustic hole-in-the-wall diner and a strong contender for best Malaysian food in the area and possibly all of Sydney.Serving classic hawker style dishes such as Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng, and Hainan Chicken, Kopitiam Cafe ticks all the right boxes - aged restaurant vibe, family run business, low prices (less than $20 for most menu items), and amazing authentic flavours. There's an old joke - how do you know if an Asian restaurant is good? Must be cash only, family run, and not on TripAdvisor. Kopitiam Cafe is a shining example of this trope - this is not where you'd go for a fancy first date but where you'd go after your fancy first date has left you broke and yearning for genuinely delicious food.We ordered the Hainan Chicken (weekends only), Nasi Lemak, Laksa, and Flat Noodle Vermicelli. Kopitiam Cafe is exceedingly famous for its Hainan Chicken but the stand out dish was definitely the Nasi Lemak - this came with a chicken curry that was simply out of this world. There are instances where Kopitiam Cafe is too busy and will not take drink orders but this really isn't an issue as the 'Cafe' in the name of the establishment is more for style than anything. Seriously - drinks are drinks, you come to Kopitiam Cafe for the food.

LOVE this place for it's absolutely amazing Malaysian food. We ordered the chicken curry and haianese chicken rice and both were out of this world. Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for authentic Malaysian food.P.s it's a cash only place so don't forget to hit up the ATM before you go.

I have been coming to this place since 2015. While somewhat remotely located on Harris St, you certainly won't be disappointed with their food. Curry laksa and nasi lemak are the signature dishes here. Their laksa is personally no. 1 in Sydney, having been to other famous ones.

It's been 15 years since I was last here and I wish they had chicken rice. Unfortunately it was not available when I went. So maybe call ahead? The beef rendang was very good. The roti cenai is not made fresh so maybe avoid that. The nasi lemak is very good

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The interior of the restaurant looks like an old kopitiam in Malaysia. Friendly staff. Number of dishes on the menu is fairly reasonable. However, it's a cash only restaurant. We ordered the roti with curry, hainanese chicken rice, seafood laksa, bak kut teh, chicken satay, teh tarik and cendol. The hainanese chicken is the best we've ever tried in Sydney. Love the roti with curry too. Bak kut teh and chicken satay taste ok but don't think we would order these dishes again. Seafood laksa was quite disappointing. The broth wasn't flavourful enough and looked a bit watery. Loved the teh tarik but not the cendol. Overall experience was good. Definitely should give the hainanese chicken rice a go.

A bustling little “mom & pop” style Chinese-Malaysian restaurant serving consistently delicious food, every time! They are a small space with limited seating that can cater to big groups too, but expect to wait or share larger tables during service rushes. Food portions are generous and encouraged to be shared. It’s great value when dining with others and you want to have a little taste of everything. My personal go-to recommendations are the Malaysian Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice and a cold Teh Tarik (Malaysian milk tea). I like most of their starters but would choose to skip the tofu. It was a bit bland and forgettable. This is a cash only restaurant so be prepared! I believe they also accept bank transfers too.

This is one of our regular spots to eat Malaysian food and it's tucked away on Harris Street in Ultimo. It's decore is aged, however the food options are delicious. We recently visited on Sunday for dinner and it was full, so they squeezed us in, however as the table was booked we had to be gone by 7PM. So with 45 minutes on the clock we ordered Char Kuay Teow (Beef Noodles) which is one of our go to dishes and is always well seasoned, a crowd pleaser and recommended when you visit. Our regular order is a starter and we always get a Roti Canai, which is a Malaysian chicken curry with roti. It is a flavour sensation and a must order. We generally visit on weekends as this is the only day they serve Hainanese Chicken Rice but they had already sold out. If visiting on a weekend get this dish! So we opted for something new and got the Fish Head Bee Hoon, which is rice noodles in a sour soup with a side of deep fried battered fish fillets. The soup flavour was too sour and salty and we didn't really enjoy it, not our cup of tea as they saying goes.Overall we have had many great experiences and encourage you to go down and give it a go, prices are reasonable, food is delivered quickly and they have plenty of options to choose from. It's a small family run business doing authentic Malaysian food.

Very authentic and traditional Malaysian cuisine with quick and friendly service. We had a range of vegetarian dishes including gado gado, laksa, and omelette and all were very satisfying and delicious. Coconut rice was also amazing. It’s cash only here so keep that in mind. Some dishes were a bit spicy for the kids but we all still really enjoyed it.
