Knowing nothing about guitars and being in the middle of lockdown I had too many questions but no one to ask. I messaged staff after hours and they responded straight away and helped me at length until I was confident with my purchase. The kids are so happy with their new guitars. Excellent service, knowledgable, patient and so friendly! Thank you so much!!

Terrible communication. I had to chase them up for an order a week after I placed it, and notified my order would be dispatched 'soon'. I again followed up a week later (so 2 weeks in total) only to be told my order had been 'lost' in their dispatch area and here is a refund. Disappointing lack of customer care.

Very knowledgeable on guitar setup and has provided me with tips on all my guitars.Will be coming here for my next guitar setup!Re Edited 4/3/2020Since my first review for Dr Gear was good I have to now say I had a terrible experience which will lead me to never deal with them again.I wanted a setup on my LTD and Dinky guitars however on the Dinky the frets are really bad so he was going to check them out first and see how it is etc. I received a call from him telling it they are no good and it needs some fret work. I told him that I will not go ahead with it then if that’s the case as I just didn’t have the money upfront.I then received a call saying my guitar was done (assuming this was the LTD) and so I went to the store.Firstly he dropped my guitar from holding the guitar case standing upright, was completely unprofessional and was glad it didn’t drop completely to the ground as it could have been much worse. He then proceeded to show me the frets which I already knew about which is why I asked him to check the frets out.He then charged me for the setup on the Dinky which to my understanding he rang me to say fret work needed I then said don’t worry about this guitar then as I won’t be able to pay for it. His excuse was, it’s still playable!If it needed fret work why was the guitar setup prior to this?After this I do think this guy is dodgy, (he may have extensive knowledge in guitar setups and the lot) I will not return.

Unfriendly and dishonest piano teacher and owner. They just want your money. They don’t really try to teach or help. The lesson is supposed to be half an hour but only lasted for about 15 minutes. The teacher lied about the service. In the first lesson the teacher said I was allowed to be there in the same building with my son. In the second lesson I was told something different, they said I was not allowed to be there in the same building with my son, which wasn't specified in the terms and conditions at all when i enroled my son. Now they changed the terms and conditions since our case! The owner and the teacher don’t show any respect to us or listen to us. They think what they do is absolutely right. After our second lesson we feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable with continueing the lesson with them, so we tried to cancel the lesson and have notified them imediately. But they said we have to continue paying the services even if we don't use their service and come for the lesson anymore. And the owner threatened us that they will ask debt collector to collect money from us if we don't pay them. The owner even accused me of being the one who threatened him and being rude and a liar a few times over emails and phone calls. Due to the imparity clauses set by Dr Gear, now I am forced to pay 572.6 dollor for cancelling the lesson. They said if I dont pay, they will bring me to the court. They do everything to suck your money!

Great guys, seriously know their stuff.Happy for me to hang out for 1.5 hours playing different guitars while I made my mind up. Having a guitar tech on site also meant I was able to ask for a couple of quick changes to the setup before buying a guitar.

Delivery was so speedy, faster than I thought. Happy with the purchase, something exactly what we need, and competitive price. All good, thank you.

I would have nice things to say about this place but an employee or owner from this shop gave me a bad taste in my mouth after he went and trolled a post of mine on a for sale site on FB. This is really bad form and it will see me never be able to recommend anyone to this shop in future.

First time coming here was greeted by a young guy at the front desk who was very friendly and listened to what I needed. Was going in to get my bass serviced and set up. He was very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable talking to him. I have been in a lot of guitar shops with arrogant older owners who like to give slack to younger players but did not get any ego or attitude here.Got the bass back in a few days, good turnaround. Cannot fault the job they did: smooth as butter to play. I wanted low as possible action with minimal fret buzz and the really delivered. Highly recommended, will be coming back here from now on.

Terrible place I felt very uncomfortable here. The owner needs a personality check.You are supposed to help and serve not demonise and make customers feel uncomfortable. Gladly taking my business elsewhere to a place that is willing to help.
