Providence Guest House

My husband Michael and I stayed at The Providence Guest House during our honeymoon and had a fabulous time! The house is BEAUTIFUL (very rustic and hacienda-looking) and the hosts (Leann and Tony) are so sweet. They were so accommodating and warm. We had delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner every day, along with a happy hour every afternoon before dinner. Leanne was a fabulous cook, and Tony took us on late night “safari” tours around the island. We saw so many kangaroos and wild animals at night. It was a blast. I definitely recommend staying here!!

Had an excellent couple of nights stay with Tony & Leanne. Breakfast and dinner was shared with them in their own dining room. The food was excellent, the conversation easy and relaxed; (ask Tony about his sporting prowess)! Our room was comfortable with a lovely view, particularly of the Koala.

An amazing place with super friendly owners who are eager to make sure your stay will be famous. Great food, great company, highly recommended as a base. Quiet spot, even a roo outside today, birds and I hear the occasional passing Koala. A real home from home experience.

What a delight! We knew nothing about Kangaroo Island or the new owners of the property when we booked. But when we left, we felt like we’d just spent the weekend with old friends in their well appointed charming rustic farmhouse overlooking the sea. The meals (bkfst & dinner) were delicious, and Tony & LeAnn couldn’t have been more accommodating. I just wish we didn’t live half way around the world!

Cette jolie maison d’hôtes est un vrai trésor. Liane et Toni ont su créer une ambiance qui nous a donné l’impression de rendre visite à la famille. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres, les repas sont extraordinaires. La terrasse a une jolie vue sur les cultures et l’ocean. Nous avons eu la chance de voir plusieurs kangourous autour de la maison tôt le matin.

Highly recommend! We loved our 3-night stay at Providence Guest House right before Christmas. Our family (including two sons in their 20s) booked 2 rooms which were spotlessly clean, lovely and super comfortable. A koala slept in the tree at eye-level right by the driveway! We had amazing views from our window and our sons loved their room off the courtyard. Liane and Tony are so warm and charming—they welcomed us like long-time friends. A lovely young Swiss couple stayed our last night and all 8 of us had such a great time around the dinner table. The meals (dinner and breakfast) Liane prepared were absolutely delicious. Seriously great homemade dinners and desserts. Liane is a superb chef and takes great care to prepare lovely meals that appealed to all of us. Both Tony and Liane were wonderful company and so very kind. Tony drove us to a Christmas light display with a walk-around tour through amazing decorations created by a neighbor down the road who opens the display to the entire island (It’s famous among the local Islanders for good reason! Go if you have a chance in December!) We got a real taste of Kangaroo Island neighborliness chatting with folks and taking in the not-to-be-forgotten holiday sight. Such a unique experience. Our stay at Providence Guest House was a real highlight of our visit to Australia.
