We were lucky enough to find out about Mark's Kayaking tours from visiting St Helen's tourist information office. I thoroughly recommend this tour as it is peaceful & relaxing. We certainly had individual attention from Mark and he is very knowledgeable about the river and has great Kayaks which are effortless to use - very memorable - Thank you Mark.Ruth & Phil

Secret River Gem Hunting and Kayak Tours
During our vacation in Tasmania, our travel agent booked us on a kayaking trip on the Scamander River in St. Helens with Mark. Neither my husband nor I had ever been kayaking and WOW, what an amazing adventure we had that day. He was very knowledgeable about the river and all the different birds. It was so beautiful & relaxing and the kayaks were amazing! I loved it that they had foot pedals. It was definitely the most relaxing & stress free day we had our whole vacation. Mark was a very delightful host and I would highly recommend his tours. Plus, we just loved the little town of St. Helens. Thanks Mark for an amazing day!!

Secret River Gem Hunting and Kayak Tours
We went out on a kayak ride with Mark today. I was able to get some of the most reflective photos I have ever seen. It was easy to peddle the kayak. I had been worried knowing that there was a chair on them thinking that they might be too top heavy. They are fishing kayaks and have a wide base and very low chair. The posture that we sit in to pedal is just perfect. I highly recommend this trip, it's well worth it!

We had a great day out with Mark, and explored the river and old tailing sites. We found sapphires and other gemstone and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Mark has so much knowledge and experience and his enthusiasm never fades. He is a great guide and teacher and willing to share all the secrets. We will go back again, it was a terrific day in the beautiful Tasmanian wilderness. Thanks Mark!
