Bar On The Hill
I just saw a live concert here, so it probaby wasn't the typical experience that most people would have of the venue, but then again the Bar On The Hill does seem to have a decent number of concerts. Under the circumstances I was there, the food was good, the music was great, the drinks were reasonable, but the place was overcrowded, hot and sweaty. Some might love that atmosphere, but I found it a bit too claustrophobic and overwhelming.

I was disappointed by The Bar on the Hill only offering take away coffee cups, even though I was sitting down at the tables and chairs provided. Considering this venue is on a university campus I expected a higher standard of sustainability and a more forward thinking approach. I hope they improve their sustainable initiatives in the near future.The food was yum.

Terrible venue for a concert. Would never recommend. If I'm not allowed to light up a cig or a joint in the crowd, and be judged simply for asking where the smokers location is - how the hell did you allow every man and their dog vape their pathetic little grape and THC juice in the crowd. By far the worst display I've ever seen at a show. Piss poor security and clear double standards. Next time, my mates and I will just light up in the crowd and I'll happily buy white ox just for the occasion.To make matters worse, the crowd cant even seem to vape into the air. No, apparently just blowing in peoples faces is now acceptable. By far, the worst display I've seen at a show.

Not bad for a old Uni bar. Went to see Nats What I Reckon on stage. Did not dissapoint. Beer was nice and cold. Hot Chips looked pretty good too.

Great little clean place with indoor and outdoor seating. Looks like food by day bar at night. With live performances. Nothing too fancy but everything looks good on the menu and priced well.

The food here is such a disappointment. The ‘salad’ is like sad, ripped up lawn that’s been stepped on and an ecosystem of sclerotinia bacteria with bits of vegetable scraps tossed through.The pizzas were undercooked with hints of E. Coli, and loved the dry chips that went cold in two minutes.Not to mention we weren’t able to get any sort of soft drink discount after paying a few hundred for the food. Where’s the student friendly attitude?Great location and nice place, all you have to do is put some effort into the food.

Ah so many memories here! Incredibly well designed for events and just all-round good times. Well-kept and cleaned. Staff could be a little friendlier but overall a fantastic place to be.v
