In my experience this veterinary hospital is over-priced and disorganised.Following an ear infection, my dog was booked in to have its ears cleaned. I was advised that the charge would be $505. This was in addition to the original consult fee of $375 for a 20 minute consultation and some basic medication.Nearly $900 to treat a simple ear infection is, in my opinion, excessive.I arrived for the procedure one week after the initial consult and was greeted by someone unfamiliar who asked me what was wrong with my dog's ear.I was reluctant to hand over another $505 to a stranger (he didn't introduce himself or tell me that he was a vet) that was unfamiliar with my dog's issue. My poor service experience did not justify the price that I was charged.UPDATEI saved myself the additional $505. My dog has done just fine on generic antibiotics (amoxyclav) and a 5 day course of ear drops with corticosteroids.

I love King St vets. All staff receptionist, vet nurses and vets are amazing! Not only do they treat your pets with love respect and compassion, they are also the only vets in town who take in injured and sick wildlife for assessment and treatment. True animal lovers.

I am not a happy customer. The medicine given to us last week by this vet for my dogs ear was called easotic. That product can be bought anywhere retail on line with a script for $32. Being a vet they would buy it cheaper than that. We were charged $81 for the same product. Why would a vet think they are entitled to mark up medicine by 170% . That is robbing your unsuspecting patients. But here is the best....if you want to buy anything on line you need a script so they charge you $25. That is after you pay a consultation fee based on $400 an hour. They take advantage of our love for our animals. They already charge a consultation fee so why is it necassary to charge $25 for a script. My Doctor certainty does not because he doesnt try and stich people up by selling drugs at 170% mark up. He leaves it to the competition of pharmacists.Trying to get animals treated for their illnesses is already very testing on the wallet but to be ripped off with the cost of medicines is a rort people are not aware of. Before anyone is prescribed medicine at a vet clinic like this one check it on line and confront your vet. Don't accept it.I will never return to this business as I consider the practice is unethical because their customers are not made aware of what they do.John

Would just like to say a massive thank you to the staff and vets at King Street. They are so genuine, wonderful and helpful. They cared for our dog for the past 12 years who we recently lost. The team were so loving and caring throughout the whole process and very kind and compassionate at the end of a devastating time as they understand they arent just pets, they are a part of the family. Couldnt recommend any place better to get the best care for your fur babies

Today, my husband, myself and Frank dog said Goodbye to our sweet, naughty, Esther dog. We were treated with compassion, care and affection. We have attended this Veterinary service for about twenty years, and they have helped us keep our pets healthy, and helped us when it was time to say Goodbye. A big Thankyou to Sam and Sue, Kate and sweet Tracey for today. To Julie, and the rest of the staff, Thank you. It can't take the hurt away, but it certainly validates our emotions.

Been with this veterinary clinic since it opened, and have had great services and warm welcoming's. They are so kind, and have given me a bag of stuff to remember my pet. They are so empathetic, compassionate and are very patient. Also they have given me deals to make the cost cheaper, for example by dog has a yeast infection on his paws and they gave me a human product (cheaper $$) to help his condition. Also, veterinary products are not subsidized like human products, its not the veterinary clinic's fault for that. They are not a money making business. They are trying to help in anyway possible with what they have.
