Ricks Bakehouse

Was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. I love a good sausage roll and this was in my top two or three ever. Hot, flaky crisp pastry, filling was moist an tasty. Well done! Coffee and service also excellent.

Open as of today, and they do a great coffee.Looks very tidy inside, and the make all their food on-site. Got a stock standard beef sausage roll, and it was better than most I've had around the coast.

The rating system is from 1 star (minimum) to 5 stars (maximum) and it just doesn’t seem right that I can’t give the bakehouse at least an extra star. We ordered a beef sausage roll and a chunky steak pie … both were wonderfully delicious and the pastry was awesome. The chunky steak pie had the perfect balance of gravy and succulent meat. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. This was our first visit to the bakehouse, and I’m sure it won’t be the last!

Very nice coffee, however the banoffee tart/pie was terrible - so bad that i haven't been back since. It looked great to buy, but as you will see, it is 95% filled with cream. Very little banana and hardly a drop of caramel.

Pie base was stodgy and too big for the filling.Pie top was lovely and crisp but absolutely no seasoning again so tasteless.Filling was lovely and tender but very under seasoned once again and did not hold together.Struggled to eat it as the pie temp was scolding and it was too soggy to hold so basically ate stew out of a pie foil my wife actually had blisters on her fingers from where the gravy fell out.Sausage roll (pork and fennel) pastry was very tough and unseasoned the filling was ok.Service was lovely although awkward... Ordered the lamb pie.... None available, (you only make two pie varieties) it was 12:30 lunch time.Ordered a coffee on light milk.... No light milk available.... The coffee was nice.

Quaint little bakehouse just opened in the heart of Palmwoods. I believe this to be an extension of Rick's Garage.Still in set up faze but open to customers. Plenty of savoury sandwiches and sweet pastries (quite a large selection of Gluten Free sweets).Small alfresco dining along the street and staff were lovely.If I could make a suggestion- the Ruban sandwich looked amazing and would be delightful to offer a Gluten free version.

These are friendly and professional which makes going back regularly so easy. Their option of a spicy chai is amazing

This is a cute little bakery, they don’t have much but they do it soooo well! The coffee is always really good, always fabulous service by the staff and fresh delicious sourdough bread. They have some delicious pies, sandwich’s and pastries. Definitely worth a stop in when you are in town.
