Dr Mike the Psych

Dr Mike is a fantastic psychologist. He can explain things in a way that is easy to understand and takes the time to listen. He has a calm and reassuring presence. He did serval hours of assessment with my son, 7, and kept him engaged and happy throughout.He has gone to great lengths to make the office space feel inviting for children, rather than a scary clinical setting. He loved the bearded dragon and games.I felt he got a great insight and so much out of my son who was happy to share with him, compared to a previous psychologist with whom my son appeared quite withdrawn and she did not have Dr Mike’s communication skills.The assessment was quite costly but once you see the volume of assessment tasks done, the time spent and the thoroughly detailed report it is actually fantastic value for money and I think it might take 10 sessions to get this depth elsewhere.He is happy to communicate with school and with us and he has some great initiative’s, like parent support groups we can join. I feel like he is there to support us not just push paper and take a cheque.He is also very experienced and has diverse skill sets which really became clear when working with him, that he knew his stuff.Thank you so much Dr Mike.
