Reid Cycles - North Melbourne

Brilliant service and delivery. My bike arrived in 3 days in December which is incredibly fast. My urban x1 arrived undamaged and I assembled it in around 30 mins. Just took it to a local bike store to get the gears tuned $15. Highly recommend this company.

I had a very poor experience with Reid after sales service.I bought a bike 6 weeks ago and as they suggested wanted to get my first service done. Tried to ring the Melbourne store (14 times) and they never bothered Picking up the phone. When I emailed they mentioned it’s a walk-in service and bring the bike anytime between Mon-Thu.Today I tried ringing the store to make sure it’s fine to bring the bike and they never picked up the call.After driving for almost an hour when I reached the store the guy said cannot take the bike for a service today because it’s at full capacity. I reached the store around 1pm and they never mentioned a time frame to come.I mentioned I drove for 1 hour and they guy never had any attempt to help me in anyway. I would be happy if they at least helped me to book for another day considering my experience today. He refused to do so too and said to come on another day early as 10am.It was such a poor service and they didn’t care about the customers. NEVER WILL RECOMMEND THESE BIKES PURELY BASED ON THEIR SERVICE. Bike is notBad for the price I paid.

Customer service at this place is not good and staff are not helpful. When I bought my bike, they told me I would get a one-year free service. After a few weeks my bike's chain broke and I called the store to book an appointment to replace the broken chain. One of the staff told me to bring my bike in at 10am the next morning. I walked for about 30 minutes with my broken bike from my place to get to the store and as soon as I got there they said sorry we don't have enough staff to repair your bike. My question was so why you told me to bring my bike when you can't offer any service!!!!!A few months before my one-year free service expires, the chain again started to make weird noises. I tried to book an appointment online but there was no availability. I called the store and explained that I don't feel safe riding the bike and the next available appointment is in 3 months after my free service expires. Guess what was their answer take your bike to another bike shop and ask them to repair it for you and pay the fees."So what is the point of a one-year free service if they can't provide the service!!!!!!!I wouldn't recommend this place at all."

I have ordered 2bikes last month. It was click and collect. It would be really in 2 days but still i am waiting. If i ordered pre order, i could understand but this is click and collect. If you don't have this items, why did i pay for them? They don't answer my e mail. I understand why people prefer other bike shop...

I attended the North Melbourne store and was greeted by Luke.. I purchased a 24 inch light aqua scout bike for my daughter. Great service by a great team. I asked some questions as I had read previous bad reviews which were not many and was very happy overall. Give these guys the opportunity as they are a bunch of great people. The quality of bikes with pricing is exceptional. Keep up the great service. Kind Regards John.

After sales service is horrible, I purchased a bike for my daughter and arrived 4 days before her birthday. When putting bike together I noticed that the bracket and the derailleur was damaged so emailed the company to get replacement parts after multiple emails back and forth with multiple days in-between emails they refused to send out parts and told new bike will be sent out so had to repack bike back up and send details for collection which did the same day sent the email. That was 3 days ago and still not here back from them. When trying to call you cannot get through. I would not recommend purchasing from them.

I LOVE my Reid bike! So much fun to ride and such a comfortable bike in many ways and I am so happy with the colour I chose. She's called Minty Lady.

Worst Experience ever !!As you all can see in the picture, this has what happened to the bike.So I had purchase the bike last year and couldn't ride the bike due to Covid-19 and also had gone overseas.So I came back recently I plan to get get the bike serviced just to have the safety checks before I can ride so I got the servicing done on Friday (10/07/2021). on Saturday (11/07/2021), I plan to commute to my night job through bike.After I almost rode about 1 to 1.5 km next I found my self lying on the road bruised and people stopping the car and as not to run over me and I am like what the heck!. I would have been badly injured and not that I am not injured now but it could have been worse.While riding the paddle came off, really the paddle thats like taking the backbone of a human and without it its a waste. whats the point of getting it safety check and servicing done!I almost waited 4 hours for the bike service and even for car servicing takes lesser time. I came all the way from hoppers crossing to north Melbourne to get the servicing done during office hours.Its a worst experience that I had and it was nightmare!!Really bad product , even after servicing and daft checks by Reid’s specialists I rode and paddle broke off.

I was sold a service plan for my bike for this store, but when it came time to get my bicycle serviced for the first time I was informed by both in store staff and their online customer service that not only will they be unable to service my bicycle, they are also unable to refund me for the service they have not provided. They said my only option was to take my bicycle to one of their other stores, despite none of those stores being accessible for me.I'm very disappointed with Reid Cycles, as I expected them to at least be able to abide by consumer law.

If you are looking for a beautiful, well made bike, look no further! Reid cycles are amazing! The customer service is outstanding! The staff are so friendly and are willing to go above and beyond to help you. I am so impressed with the quality of the bike for my little girl. I would recommend Reid cycles to anyone looking for there next bike purchase.If you are a mum or dad or an important person in someone’s life, or even looking for a bike for yourself and doing what most of us do these days and Google companies and how they rate, just know that I am that person too! Hopefully my review can save you some time and angst when it comes to making your decision. You won’t regret it! I’m one very impressed lady and I have one very happy girl!
