We have just completed a shed on Magnetic Island and I can’t speak highly enough of Chris, Kieran and the Ranbuild team. Of particular note was their excellent communication especially as we made a few changes along the way and had plenty of questions. They also locked in the price which was fabulous after watching steel prices soar over the many months before we built. RANBUILD TOWNSVILLEAFTER A MONTH OF ACHIEVING NOTHING, I AM TOLD THEY HAVE GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR ME!!You cant make this stuff up - read on.....On 9 Oct I went to Ranbuild and spoke with a salesperson about an owner build patio. I made it very, very, clear I wanted to install my structure before the end of November to avoid delays caused by the rains when they come. He told me they would not be able to install before January and I reminded him it was owner build so I did not need them to install but I needed engineering and council approval and the materials. We proceeded on that basis.My requirements were outside of the standard Ranbuild patios (which is essentially a carport type structure) as they only do eaves on 2 sides and I wanted eaves on 4 sides for the tropical rains. However, the salesperson assured me he could assist me anyway. He even came out to my property to confirm measurements etc. The salesperson also told me he would do whatever welding would be necessary for my job on his own time as he was qualified to do this. He also said he would arrange a concreter to install the posts and do the other concreting work. I was very impressed, great service I thought. Well, I was wrong. After about 10 days of nothing apart from elementary drawings (I had supplied basic computer drawings with measurements and layouts) I called to be told he couldn't get prices from their suppliers! Really, a big company like Ranbuild cant put pressure on suppliers to give basic prices? He also said the concreter did not want to do the job anymore. Hmmm, disappointing. I requested the engineers number from the salesperson to at least get the engineering phase done so I could get it to council for approval in the meantime. The engineer said he would need detailed drawings. I called the salesperson and he said he would send drawings to the engineer by Monday 4 November (I was to pay for these). On Friday 8 November I called the salesperson to see what was going on. He had apparently been too busy to do the drawings. Somehow it was beyond him to pick up the phone and let me know this pertinent fact given the urgency I had imparted. I have asked to speak to the manager or owner but the salespersons doesn't seem to think this will help and said I have gone out of my way for you". How laughable. A FULL month later

Checked around various shed providers and found this great family business with very friendly, easy to communicate with and extremely knowledgeable staff. Awesome in helping you sort out what you need, obtaining council permits, working in tight spaces and to schedule with completion in a very short time. All ran as smooth as clockwork with great communication and awesome shed as an end result.Took the time to show and explain to us the genuine quality of the materials they use when they build their sheds and carports. Also all factors are costed in clearly up front and you don't find yourself paying an additional amount during the build. eg for colour coded screwsSave your time and just call them first.Thank you very much Steph, Gregg, Emma and Alise from Rod and Bern, two very happy customers who are enjoying their awesome shed
