Stirling Market

Wandered around the rambling Stirling Markets on a beautiful autumn day last Sunday. Very busy but satisfying experience in the wonderful Adelaide Hills only about 30 mins from downtown Adelaide. Heaps of variety with plenty of clothes/art/food stalls on both sides of the road. Live music performances also add nicely to the ambience.

Not going to lie, when the wife dragged me out I was expecting to see lots of knitted doilies and dolls and second hand items. Don't get me wrong, there were a few stalls like that but lots of artisan bakers, chocolate, local wine and gin, amazing art, plants, gemstones and more. Well worth the trip to the Adelaide Hills.

First time to Adelaide and even though we went on the wrong day and not much was open it was still a good experience people are very nice and the fruit and veg and coffee and blueberry muffin were very good

Amazing Sunday market with lots of yummy local food and drinks as well as lots of local made products.

The first markets back since Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. Large crowds today due to perfect sunny weather. Always lovely produce to look at and buy. The main street was a buzz too.

An enjoyable market, albeit a little messy and sprawled out to figure out where everything is. The homemade pies selling there were absolute stand-outs for us, and the plants on sale were worth the drive!

Had a great time there~ Better to bring some cash as some stalls are cash only (ATM is not too far though).

I found the Stirling Market advertised on Facebook. We went as a family. The air was clean and crisp from fresh showers when we got there. There was a good range of independent kiosks selling mostly handcrafted or home made items. We saw plenty of cute dogs having a day out. While we really didn't purchase many items, we made sure to enjoy a cuppa, some venison pies, ham and cheese croissants and German sausages. We also got a box of flavoured marshmallows and then enjoyed a stroll while checking out other kiosks. My children definitely want to return soon. I would recommend visiting in the spring. I would have given this a 5 star rating if only there were easily accessible toilets.
