Village Dry Cleaners
Excellent service and the highest quality dry cleaning. I had 3 blazers and a satin formal dress dry cleaned. The care and attention to detail taken was second to none. I could not have been happier. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Owner is extremely rude and gaslights customers.Garment was not dry cleaned. Took the garment back the next day and asked for it to be cleaned. Owner argued and yelled in denial… however it clearly has not been cleaned as it still smelled. Supposedly the garment was cleaned again… but it still smells. Extremely expensive and painful exercise without a result. BEWARE. I’ve since found out from word of mouth that around town it is well known that these are the worst dry cleaners. Unfortunately the Google reviews are misleading.

I found this to be very expensive. Cost almost $55 for 5 basic garments (pants and 1 suit jacket). This would normally cost me about $30 at a drycleaner in the city. The service was courteous and the time to collect was reasonable. Would be handy to have their opening hours available online, on the receipt or as a recording on the phone.

Staff very friendly. Went out of their way to rush through my item. On collection, I was very pleased with how well it turned out. I also thought their prices were very reasonable for the top quality service. Will use them again!

Rude. Kept me waiting for over ten minutes. Owner was on his mobile phone in and out of the shop. Female was huffing and puffing and eye rolling because I dared question the inconsistencies in their pricing. Decided to take my business elsewhere and then got told that I had attitude!!! Never again.

Staff at Village Dry Cleaners in Albany Creek have always been friendly and helpful to me, offering a great Dry cleaning and alteration service over the years I've used them. They do occasionally get busy and patience may be required but this just shows they're a successful trusted business.

I went in with my niece who witnessed this whole account and we are in shock and disbelief at the lack of customer service and misleading that has occurred here. I took three pairs of pants into the store and asked if I could have two pairs with a less than 1cm split in the seams mended and one brand new pair hemmed. I was told that was fine that they could hand stitch and mend the seams and that we could hem the pants. I was provided my pick up receipts and told the expected timeframe for collection. I went in today and the man said “your dry cleaning” when I showed the receipts I said oh no sorry I just had some tailoring done. He then went to advise me that they were also dry cleaned which I was absolutely shocked at because I did not ask for this service to be performed and I was not advised of this when I went in with my enquiry for tailoring. When I advised again I didn’t need/want the dry cleaning he explained that they dry clean all items prior to touching them for mending as their policy for health and safety. I can understand this, I do not disrespect a companies policy but to sit there and argue with me that I was told this when I came in because it’s his wife and she tells everyone (even though he was not there at the time of enquiry) is appalling. Clearly I would not be so upset if I knew this prior to leaving my items there or collecting them. For the tiniest holes to be repaired and hemming with dry cleaning I wasn’t aware of cost me $110.00. I will take responsibility for receiving my collection ticket with the price on there when I walked out but I never read it and to be honest had to get the man to explain it to me because I have no idea what TO or CL and all the wording on their receipts means. Also the woman said I don’t know why it printed like that and gave me two collection tickets I had no idea what was going on at the time and never looked at them because I never would have imagined $110 with a compulsory dry clean I was never made aware of. To then stand there and say “she would have told you she tells everyone” absolutely disgusted me because she 100% did not tell me anything about a dry clean. The transparent, respectable thing to do as a business would be to say yes we can mend these garments but they will require a dry clean as per our policy so there will be an additional cost not just the tailoring price. Instead of just doing an additional service because it’s “policy”. How in the world am I meant to know this policy. I know nothing about dry cleaning/tailoring etc. which I why I was there in the first place. Further to this the repair has been done so terrible I now have to take to another place and will have to spend more money. The overlocking was undone to access the seam and instead of redoing it, it has been left open with cut stitches all frayed and looks like a complete mess. I was not aware that overlocking would be cut and undone to access this and even if I was qualified enough to know they would do that, one would assume as a tailoring service you would redo the overlocking so it will not fray and look horrible. The lack of understanding when I was explaining the situation and blame placed on me was disgraceful. I would not even return to this place to have them attempt to correctly mend my pants and fix this as I am so frustrated I had to spend money on costs I was not made aware of. I then said to my niece “When we dropped off my pants was I told anything about cleaning fees?” and she said no. I told her the story and she was shocked also. I know with certainty this was not advised to me. You can’t just perform additional services at an extra cost and not saying anything that is so wrong. Be honest with your customers instead of hiding things because you probably know no one would pay $110 for that service. Misleading and inconsiderate.
