I had a meal there, it was like something cooked by a hobo in an old hubcap over a burning tyre under a motorway flyover. An ibis wouldn`t eat it. The packet of chips I bought was a month past the use by date, the coffee was like lukewarm wee and the young girls working there either forget or mess up the simplest instruction or request. Like ordering a black coffee and getting a cappucino. After a previous bad experience I avoided it for a year but I found myself in Kyogle on a Sunday afternoon, nowhere else was open so I thought I`d give Ruby`s another chance to see if it had changed. It had, it was even worse.

Driving through Kyogle looking for food most places are closed because of Covid, small businesses are the ones that are getting affected the most. The lose of there consumers & regulars because of lockdown. Remember there is a such thing called Take Out... Support your locals business, or how are they going to survive. The Owner also has a sign business that he started up with his son. There details are on the photographs

No idea how to time manage orders. Wasn't asked if i wanted dine in or takeaway. Can't get orders right. Filthy shop. Only went there because it was the only place open. Health inspectors need to do a surprise visit

Great spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Good selection, fresh and tasty ingredients and seems to be open a bit later than a lot of the takeaway outlets around Kyogle.

Went to order burgers at 6:45pm as advertised closing time is 7:30pm, was rudely told that closing time was 7pm and that it’s never been 7:30 and that we could not order burgers, even though burgers were still being made for other customers, ordered $5 worth of hot chips with chicken salt instead, chips we received were burnt and cold and missing salt of any kind. Will never shop here again, very disappointed with the service received.

Just got 2 caramel flat white and they were absolutely disgusting. Couldn't taste any coffee and had too much syrip, just tipped them out on the side of the road. Won't ever buy coffee there again.

I have been an ongoing patron of this cafe as it has changed hands over the years. Through this time I have found the chips here to be the best intown, the service is always friendly (shout out to Tom who had a smile that could light up a room and a blisteringly fast service time) and the food is always cooked well.I have also noticed that the new employees are always treated with respect within the team.My only real downside is that the chip servings are a little small.Edit 22.3.20: I bought a snack box and some chicken nuggets today. I noticed that the chip serving I recieved was larger than expected and the Chicken ?nuggets/bites? were easily the best I have ever had and I don't say that lightly. I will be going back for more nuggets.
